Tiziano Rossi
Tiziano Rossi (born in Milan, 1935) is an Italian poet. He is well known for his published books of poetry, but in 2020 he also published a collection of short tales. Biography Son of the painter Giovanni Rossi, as a poet he is considered an important exponent of the well known Lombard line (a category which id to be understood in a broad sense, not coinciding perfectly with the geographical area). In his poetry it is often clear a civil wish to defend life from industrial and technology invasions. He is the editor (with Ermanno Krumm) of the anthological work ''Poesia italiana del Novecento'', with a preface by Mario Luzi (Milan: 1995). He won the Viareggio Prize for poetry in 2000. In 2020 he published a collection of poetical, sarcastic anti-fairy tale (antifavole). In the same year he adheres at the Empathic Movement (Empathism). He won Cilento Poetry Prize in 2022. Mario Luzi
Mario Luzi (20 October 1914 – 28 February 2005) was an Italian poet. Biography Born in Castello, near Sesto Fiorentino, Luzi's parents, Ciro Luzi and Margherita Papini, hailed from Samprugnano (later Semproniano). He spent his youth in Castello, where he started his primary school. In Florence he studied at the ''liceo classico'' Galileo, and also in Florence he obtained his degree in French literature with a final dissertation about François Mauriac. This was an important period for Luzi. He met poets such as Piero Bigongiari, Alessandro Parronchi, Carlo Bo, Leone Traverso, and the critic Oreste Macrì. His first book, ''La barca'', was published in 1935 and in 1938 he started to teach in high schools in the cities of Parma, San Miniato and Rome. In 1940, he published ''Avvento notturno''; in 1945 he went back to Florence and there he taught at the ''liceo scientifico''. Arnoldo Mondadori Editore () is the biggest publishing company in Italy. History The company was founded in 1907 in Ostiglia by 18-year-old Arnoldo Mondadori who began his publishing career with the publication of the magazine ''Luce!''.
