Tianjin–Pukou Railway
The Tianjin–Pukou or Jinpu railway ( Postal spelling: Tientsin-Pukow Railway; ) runs from Tianjin to Pukou district outside Nanjing in Jiangsu province. History The first proposals to build railways in China began in the 1860s with opposition from the elite, who worried that it would increase the likelihood of regime change. However, following China's loss in the First Sino-Japanese War in 1895, the desire to modernize began to predominate. However, due to technical and financial constraints, foreign support was needed to build the earliest railways. Shuishanggongyuan Subdistrict
Shuishanggongyuan Subdistrict () is a subdistrict situated on the south of Nankai District, Tianjin, China. It borders Xuefu Subdistrict to the north, Machang and Tianta Subdistricts to the east, Tiyuzhongxin Subdistrict to the south, and Wangdingdi Subdistrict to the west. Its population was 64,853 as of 2010. The subdistrict's name literally means "Water Park", which is referring to the Tianjin Water Park on the southeast of the subdistrict. Wangdingdi Subdistrict
Wangdingdi Subdistrict () is one of the 12 subdistricts within Nankai District, Tianjin, China. It is located in the south of Jialing Avenue Subdistrict, west of Xuefu and Shuishanggongyuan Subdistricts, north of Tiyuzhongxin and Huayuan and Subdistricts, and east of New Technology Industrial Park and Xiyingmen Subdistrict.
