Tito Mboweni
Tito Titus Mboweni (16 March 1959 – 12 October 2024) was a South African politician who served as Minister of Finance of South Africa in the government of President Cyril Ramaphosa from 2018 to 2021. Mboweni was the eighth Governor of the South African Reserve Bank and the first Black South African to hold the post from 1999 to 2009. He was sworn in as Minister of Finance on 9 October 2018, following Nhlanhla Nene's resignation. Mboweni was a founding member of Mboweni Brothers Investment Holdings and a former international advisor of Goldman Sachs International. He had been appointed a non executive Director for South Africa at the New Development Bank (BRICS Development Bank). The North-West University (NWU) is a public research university located on three campuses in Potchefstroom, Mahikeng and Vanderbijlpark in South Africa. Christian Lodewyk Stals, better known as Chris Stals (born 13 March 1934) was the seventh Governor of the South African Reserve Bank, serving from 8 August 1989 to 7 August 1999. The president of South Africa is the head of state and head of government of the Republic of South Africa. The University of Limpopo () is a public university in the Limpopo Province, South Africa. It was formed on 1 January 2005, by merger of the University of the North and the Medical University of South Africa (MEDUNSA). These previous institutions formed the Turfloop and MEDUNSA campuses of the university, respectively. In 2015 the MEDUNSA campus split and became the Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University. BRICS
BRICS is an intergovernmental organization comprising ten countriesBrazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Iran and the United Arab Emirates. The idea of a BRICS-like group can be traced back to Russian foreign minister Yevgeny Primakov and to the two forums RIC (Russia, India, China) and IBSA (India, Brazil, South Africa).
