Tirelli Costumi
Tirelli Costumi Roma is a Rome-based costume house, which makes and supplies period costumes to motion picture productions. It has been sited, along with Costumi d'Arte and Peruzzi, as one of the best resources for 18th-century costumes. History The company was founded by Umberto Tirelli in 1964, following Tirelli's apprenticeship as a costume maker on ''The Leopard''. In addition to their film work, Tirelli Costumi has supplied and created costumes for stage productions. Their first was a production of ''Tosca'' at Teatro dell'Opera, a production directed by Mauro Bolognini with costumes by Anna Anni. The Teatro Comunale (''Communal Theatre'') in Ferrara is an opera house, located in the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna, and built between 1786 and 1797 with seating for 990. Privately owned theatres with limited seating capacity had existed in the city for many years, but the arrival of Cardinal Spinelli, the new papal envoy, in 1786 spurred the construction of a new public theatre under the architects Cosimo Morelli and Antonio Foschini. The Teatro de la Maestranza is an opera house located in Seville, Spain. The theatre was conceived to be one of the main cultural venues of the Seville Expo '92, and the first performance took place in 1991, shortly before the inauguration of the Universal Exposition. The Teatro Petruzzelli is the largest theatre of the city of Bari and the fourth Italian theatre by size. History Origin and golden age The history of the Teatro Petruzzelli of Bari begins when Onofrio and Antonio Petruzzelli, traders and ship builders from Bari, presented the designs for the theatre drawn up by their brother-in-law, the engineer Angelo Bari Cicciomessere (then Messeni) to the city of Bari. The proposal for building the Petruzzelli was accepted and, on 29 January 1896, a contract was signed between the family and the city administration.
