Rico Tipo
''Rico Tipo'' was a weekly Argentine comic magazine that appeared from late 1944 until 1972, founded and directed by Guillermo Divito. It was among the main Argentine comics, comic magazines in Argentina, others being ''Patoruzú'' (launched in 1936) and ''Satiricón'' (founded in 1972). Rico Tipo was much more successful, adapting to changing tastes through a period of 36 years. Origins José Antonio Guillermo Divito joined the stable of artists at the Patoruzú weekly as a young man, where he began drawing his first illustrations of ''Chicas'' (Girls). The magazine's director, Dante Quinterno, disapproved of the great sensuality of the ''Chicas'', and suggested tweaks and longer skirts. Tired of this interference, and unable to get a raise of pay, Divito decided to create his own magazine Rico Tipo, which was launched on 16 November 1944. The Intellectual Property Office (TIPO; ) is the patent, trademark, and copyright office of Taiwan (Republic of China). It operates under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA). As of July 2011, TIPO had a staff of 734 persons, with more than half of them handling patent matters. History TIPO was established in 1927. The Ondrej Nepela Arena () (also known as ''Orange Arena'' during the 2011 IIHF Championship and later as ''Tipos Aréna'', previously ''Slovnaft Arena'', for sponsorship reasons) is an indoor arena in Bratislava, Slovakia. It is primarily used for ice hockey and it is the home arena of the HC Slovan Bratislava. History Ice rink and original arena The arena was first opened on 15 December 1940 as the first public artificial ice rink in Bratislava. The first official ice hockey game was played on 21 December of the same year. Between 1948 and 1949, new tribunes were built in order to increase the standing capacity from around 300 to 11,000. In 1957 the open-air venue was covered with a steel structure that required supporting columns, and 4,800 temporary seats were installed with the standing capacity reduced to 7,000. Tipos Extraliga
The Slovak Extraliga, known as the Tipsport liga since the 2025–26 season for sponsorship reasons, is the highest-level ice hockey league in Slovakia. From 2018–19 to 2020–21, the league included one or two teams from Hungary. Teams from the Extraliga can participate in the IIHF's annual Champions Hockey League (CHL). Participation is based on the strength of the various leagues in Europe (excluding the KHL). In the 2022–23 CHL season, the Extraliga was ranked the No. 10 league in Europe, so the champion of the previous season competed in the CHL. Maria Tipo
Maria Tipo (23 December 1931 – 10 February 2025) was an Italian pianist who made an international career after she won the 1949 Geneva International Music Competition and came in third at the Queen Elisabeth Competition. She revived the music of Muzio Clementi and was known for playing and recording music by Domenico Scarlatti, Scarlatti, Johann Sebastian Bach, Bach, Ludwig van Beethoven, Beethoven and Frédéric Chopin, Chopin. She taught at conservatories, Conservatoire de Musique de Genève, Bolzano Conservatory, Florence Conservatory and Scuola di Musica di Fiesole. Life and career Tipo was born in Naples on 23 December 1931. Her father was a mathematician, and her mother, Ersilia Cavallo, a pianist who had studied with Ferruccio Busoni. Mu Tipo
Mu Tipo (; died November 577), né Luo Tipo (), was an ethnic Xianbei official of the Chinese Northern Qi dynasty. He was a close associate of the emperor Gao Wei, and during the latter part of Gao Wei's reign controlled the political scene along with his mother Lu Lingxuan, and the other favorites of Gao Wei, Han Zhangluan and Gao Anagong. In 577, in the midst of a major attack by rival Northern Zhou, Mu surrendered to Emperor Wu of Northern Zhou and was made a provincial governor, but after Northern Zhou destroyed Northern Qi and took over its territory, Emperor Wu falsely accused Mu of conspiring with Gao Wei, and killed Mu and forced Gao Wei and other members of the Gao clan to commit suicide. Pala Tipo
Palak Dil or Pala Tipo (Mara language for "swallowing lake") is the largest and biggest lake in Mizoram, northeast India. It is located near Phura village in Siaha district, within the Mara Autonomous District Council in the southernmost district of Mizoram. Its geographical location falls under the Indo-Burma biodiversity hotspot, and is therefore rich in animal and plant species. The lake is a major component of the Palak Wildlife Sanctuary, and it supports the major biodiversity of the sanctuary. ''Pala'' is derived from a mythical Mara story for the name of the lake while ''tipo'' means "lake"; it is called Palak Dil in Mizo ṭawng. Tipo-Tipo, officially the Municipality of Tipo-Tipo ( Tausūg: ''Lupah Tipo-Tipo''; Chavacano: ''Municipalidad de Tipo-Tipo''; ), is a municipality in the province of Basilan, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 25,531 people. In 2006, the municipalities of Al-Barka and Ungkaya Pukan were created from Tipo-Tipo, reducing its number of barangays from 39 to 11.
