Tip Harris
Clifford Joseph Harris Jr. (born September 25, 1980), known professionally as T.I. or Tip, is an American rapper and singer raised in Atlanta, Georgia. Harris is credited as a pioneer of the hip hop subgenre trap music, along with fellow Georgia-based rappers Jeezy and Gucci Mane. He first became acquainted with local music executive Kawan "KP" Prather, and joined his company Ghet-O-Vision Entertainment by the late 1990s. He was led to sign a major-label record deal with its parent company LaFace Records, an imprint of Arista Records in 1999. His debut studio album, ''I'm Serious'' (2001), was met with lukewarm critical and commercial reception, becoming his only release with the label. He then signed with Atlantic Records, where he soon reached his mainstream breakthrough and co-founded his own label imprint, Grand Hustle Records by 2003. Kawan Prather
Kawan Kawmi "KP" Prather (born March 30, 1973) is an American record executive. He began his career as a DJ for the Atlanta-based hip hop group Parental Advisory (P.A.) in 1991, which were part of the larger collective Dungeon Family. The group was discovered by Pebbles and L.A. Reid, and were the first act from the collective to sign a major label deal with LaFace Records in the late 1990s, through which Prather launched the imprint label Ghet-O-Vision Entertainment. During this time, he worked in executive or A&R positions on albums for LaFace labelmates including TLC, OutKast, Goodie Mob, Usher, Pink, and Toni Braxton. Prather's Ghet-O-Vision is credited with having signed Atlanta-based hip hop acts YoungBloodZ and T.I. through LaFace Records by 1999, as well as Tennessee-based rapper Yelawolf through Interscope Records in 2008. ''Trap Muzik'' is the second studio album by the American rapper T.I., released on August 19, 2003, by Atlantic Records and his newly founded record label Grand Hustle. Due to the poor sales on T.I.'s first album, '' I'm Serious'' (2001), T.I. asked for a joint venture deal with Arista Records or to be released from his contract; he was subsequently dropped from the label. In 2002, T.I. launched Grand Hustle with his longtime business partner Jason Geter and signed a new deal with Atlantic Records. "Never Scared" is a song by American hip hop recording artist Bone Crusher, released as his debut single and the lead single from his debut album, '' AttenCHUN!''. The song was produced by Avery Johnson and features verses from fellow Atlanta-based rappers Killer Mike and T.I. The song became a Top 40 hit, reaching number 26 on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart, while also reaching the top 10 of the ''Billboard'' Hot R&B Hip-Hop and Rap charts. The success of the single propelled ''AttenCHUN!'' to reach number one on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, although Bone Crusher's success would be short-lived as "Never Scared" would be his only charting single.
