Tintigny (; ) is a Municipalities of Belgium, municipality of Wallonia located in the Luxembourg (Belgium), province of Luxembourg, Belgium. On 1 January 2015 the municipality had 4,200 inhabitants. Its total area is 81.79 km2, giving it a population density of 45.7 inhabitants per km2. The municipality consists of the following deelgemeente, districts: Bellefontaine, Wallonia, Bellefontaine, Rossignol, Wallonia, Rossignol, Saint-Vincent, Wallonia, Saint-Vincent, and Tintigny. Other population centers include Ansart, Breuvanne, Han, Lahage, and Poncelle. History Three-quarters of the village of Tintigny was burned down on August 22, 1914: 183 houses in the village were destroyed. These facts are attributable in particular to the 38th IR and 51st IR of the German Imperial Army. Falsely accused of being snipers, 93 local residents were killed. Florenville (; Gaumais: ''Floravile'') is a city and municipality in the province of Luxembourg, Wallonia, Belgium. It is located in the southwest part of the country bordering France, on the banks of the Semois river. Spread across an area of , the municipality incorporates seven districts. In 2021, the municipality had a population of 5,687 inhabitants. History Archeological excavations in the region have yielded artifacts dating back to at least 15th century BCE. During the rule of the Roman Empire, it was part of the route between Reims and Trier, built in 45 CE by Emperor Claudius. Virton (; Gaumais: ''Viertån''; ) is a city and municipality of Wallonia located in the province of Luxembourg, Belgium. It is also the administrative centre of the district (''arrondissement'') of the same name, as well as the principal town of the small region of Belgian Lorraine known as the Gaume, famous for its microclimate.
