''Republic of Doyle'' is a Canadian comedy-drama television series set in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, which aired on CBC Television from January 6, 2010, to December 10, 2014. Tinny (musician)
Nii Addo Quaynor (born January 19, 1982), better known by his stage name Tinny, is a Ghanaian Rapper. He was born in Osu, Ghana to Mr. Ricky Tetteh Quaynor and Naa Badu Quaynor. He is the last-born of their six children. At the early age of eight, by singing and rapping at parties and funfairs, he got into the music industry. In 1994, he started performing at Fun-World, an entertainment program which was organized every Sunday at the National Theatre (Accra). He has released five studio albums since his debut. Early life Tinny was born Tinny Nii Addo Quaynor and grew up in the neighborhood of Osu and La both in Accra, Ghana. Young Tinny had his primary education at the Osu Home School and then went to Hepter International School at Akim Oda. The slang or colloquial term tinnie or tinny has a variety of meanings, generally derived from some association with the metal tin, or aluminium foil which has a loose allusion to tin. "Tinnie" is the common term for a commemorative medal made from a non-precious metal such as zinc or tin (or even plastic) and with provisions for being attached to a garment and displayed while worn. Such medals were commonly sold or given away at public events to build group cohesiveness or to lend prestige to the wearer. The "golden age of the tinnie" was World War II, and the Nazi Party and the USSR were among the most prolific disbursers of them.
