Tin Omen
"Tin Omen" is a single by the band Skinny Puppy, taken from their 1989 album ''Rabies''. The song name is a reference to the 1989 Tiananmen Square protests and massacre. The song also refers to the My Lai massacre of 1968 and the Kent State shootings of 1970. Ministry frontman Al Jourgensen (credited as both Alien Jourgensen and Hypo Luxa) performed guitar and backing vocals for the song. Skinny Puppy
Skinny Puppy was a Canadian electro-industrial band formed in Vancouver in 1982. The group was among the founders of the industrial rock and electro-industrial genres. Initially envisioned as an experimental side-project by cEvin Key (Kevin Crompton) while he was in the new wave band Images in Vogue, Skinny Puppy evolved into a full-time project with the addition of vocalist Nivek Ogre (Kevin Ogilvie). Over the course of 13 studio albums and many live tours, Key and Ogre were the only constant members. Dave "Rave" Ogilvie
Dave "Rave" Ogilvie is a Canadian record producer, mixer, songwriter and musician based in Vancouver. Ogilvie started his recording career as a mixing engineer at Mushroom Studios. He frequently collaborated with industrial band Skinny Puppy as both a band member and producer. He also worked as a producer, engineer and mixer on several projects with Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails, including engineering and remixing NIN singles, co-producing Marilyn Manson's album '' Antichrist Superstar'' and remixing David Bowie's single "I'm Afraid of Americans". Over his career has worked with such artists as Loverboy, 54-40, SNFU, Ministry, Carly Rae Jepsen, Rob Halford and Mötley Crüe. He founded his own industrial pop band, Jakalope, in 2003. The Vancouver-based company was created by principals Terry McBride and Mark Jowett as a record label to distribute recordings by the band Moev, but the label expanded in Canada and internationally.
