Timothy Murrills
Timothy James Murrills (born 22 December 1953) is a former English cricketer. Murrills was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm medium pace and who also kept wicket. He was born at Ecclesall, Yorkshire. Murrills made his first-class debut for Cambridge University against Warwickshire. He made 34 further first-class appearances for Cambridge, the last of which came against Oxford University in 1976. In his 35 appearances for the university, he scored 900 runs at an average of 14.75, with a high score of 67. This score, which was one of three fifties he made, came against Surrey in 1976. He also appeared twice in first-class cricket for a combined Oxford and Cambridge Universities team, in 1974 against the touring Indians and in 1976 against the touring West Indians. Mike Procter
Michael John Procter (born 15 September 1946) is a South African former cricketer. A fast bowler and hard hitting batsman, he proved himself a colossal competitor in English first class cricket. He was denied the international stage by South Africa's banishment from world cricket in the 1970s and 1980s. He was a Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 1970 and South African cricketer of the year in 1967. Following his retirement from the playing the game, Procter was appointed as a match referee by ICC for officiating cricket matches. However, his tenure has been marked by controversies. Gloucestershire County Cricket Club is one of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Gloucestershire. Founded in 1870, Gloucestershire have always been first-class and have played in every top-level domestic cricket competition in England. The club played its first senior match in 1870 and W. G. The National Counties, known as the Minor Counties before 2020, are the cricketing counties of England and Wales that do not have first-class status. The game is administered by the National Counties Cricket Association (NCCA), which comes under the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). There are currently twenty teams in National Counties cricket: nineteen representing historic counties of England, plus the Wales National County Cricket Club. The NCCA 3 Day Championship (previously the Minor Counties Cricket Championship) is a season-long competition in England and Wales that is contested by the members of the National Counties Cricket Association (NCCA), the so-called national counties that do not have first-class status. British Universities Cricket Team
The British Universities cricket team was a cricket team whose players were drawn from university students studying in Great Britain. The team played under the title of Combined Universities until 1995. The team played List A cricket from 1975 to 1998 and first-class cricket from 1993 to 2006.
