Timoria
Timoria were an Italian rock group, active between 1985 and 2003. Career The group formed in Brescia in 1985 with the name Precious Time. In 1986 they adopted the name Timoria () and took part at Discomusic, a festival organized by the newspaper ''Giornale di Brescia'', winning the competition. After winning another festival, "Rock Targato Italia", they were put under contract by PolyGram and released their first single, "Signornò". Produced by former Litfiba member Gianni Moroccolo, in 1990 the band released their first album, ''Colori che esplodono'', which was both a critical and commercial success. In 1991 they entered the Newcomers competition at the 41st edition of the Sanremo Music Festival with the song "L'uomo che ride", winning the Critics' Award. The Sanremo Music Festival 1991 (), officially the 41st Italian Song Festival (), was the 41st annual Sanremo Music Festival, held at the Teatro Ariston in Sanremo between 27 February and 2 March 1991 and broadcast by (RAI). The show was presented by actors Andrea Occhipinti and Edwige Fenech. Adriano Aragozzini served as artistic director. According to the rules of this edition, each song of the Big Artists section was presented in a double performance by a non-Italian singer or group, and adapted in their foreign language. The winner of the Big Artists section was Riccardo Cocciante with the song " Se stiamo insieme", while Enzo Jannacci won the critics award with the song "La fotografia". Litfiba
Litfiba was an Italian rock band formed in Florence in 1980. The band evolved from British-influenced new wave rock to a more personal rock sound influenced by Mediterranean vibes; their songs are mostly sung in Italian. History First era (1980–1989) The band was formed in Florence in 1980, and was named after the telex code for Via dei Bardi, Florence, where the band rehearsed (Località ITalia FIrenze via dei BArdi). The early line-up consisted of Federico Renzulli (nicknamed Ghigo) on guitars and lead vocals, Gianni Maroccolo on bass, Sandro Dotta on lead guitar (who left the band after a few weeks) and Francesco Calamai on drums. Jack Hirschman (December 13, 1933 – August 22, 2021) was an American poet and social activist who wrote more than 100 volumes of poetry and essays. Early life and education Hirschman was born on December 13, 1933, in New York City, into a Russian Jewish family. He received a Bachelor of Arts from the City College of New York in 1955, a Master of Arts in 1957, and Doctor of Philosophy in 1960 from Indiana University Bloomington, Indiana. While attending City College, he worked as a copy boy for the Associated Press. Career At 19 years old, Hirschman sent a story to Ernest Hemingway, who responded: "I can't help you, kid.
