Timor Telecom, S.A. (TT) is an East Timorese telecommunications company, based in the national capital Dili. The company originally had a state monopoly on telecommunications in East Timor. The monopoly was lifted by the government in 2010 in response to overwhelming public opinion in favour of liberalisation. Shareholdings , the largest shareholder of the company (54.01%) was Telecomunicações Públicas de Timor, S.A. (TPT), which was controlled by Investel Communications, a Brazilian company owned by Timorese businessman , with partners and capital from the Middle East and China. Atauro
Atauro ( pt, Ilha de Ataúro, Tetum and Indonesian: ''Pulau Atauro'' or ''Ata'uro''), also known as Kambing Island ( id, Pulau Kambing), is an island and municipality ( pt, Município Ataúro, links=no, tet, Munisípiu Atauro, links=no or ) of East Timor. Atauro is a small oceanic island situated north of Dili, on the extinct Wetar segment of the volcanic Inner Banda Arc, between the Indonesian islands of Alor and Wetar. Pante Macassar
Pante Macassar ( pt, Pante Macassar, ) is a city in the Pante Macassar administrative post on the north coast of East Timor, to the west of Dili, the nation's capital. It has a population of 4,730 (Stand 2006). It is the capital of the Oecusse exclave (former Oecussi-Ambeno). The name literally means "beach of Makassar," alluding to the erstwhile trade with Makassar in Sulawesi (Celebes).
