Timo Rautiainen (co-driver)
Timo Rautiainen (born 13 November 1964) is a Finland, Finnish former Rallying, rally co-driver. He is best known for co-driving for Marcus Grönholm from 1995 World Rally Championship season, 1995 to 2007 World Rally Championship season, 2007. Rautiainen and Grönholm drove for Peugeot Sport, Peugeot (2000 World Rally Championship season, 2000–2005 World Rally Championship season, 05) and Ford World Rally Team, Ford (2006 World Rally Championship season, 2006-07) in the World Rally Championship, and won 30 world rallies and two List of World Rally Championship Drivers' Champions, drivers' world championship titles together. Rautiainen is married to Grönholm's sister. Rautiainen, along with Grönholm, appeared in the Amazing Race Suomi season 1, first season of ''Amazing Race Suomi'' where they finished fifth place. The 2004 Rally Finland (formally the 54th Neste Rally Finland) was the ninth round of the 2004 World Rally Championship season and was held between 6 and 8 August 2004. The World Rally Championship (abbreviated as WRC) is an international rallying series owned and governed by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile, FIA. The 2006 World Rally Championship was the 34th season in the FIA World Rally Championship. The season began on January 20 with the 74th Monte Carlo Rally where Finland's Marcus Grönholm, in a Ford Focus RS WRC, took the win ahead of France's Sébastien Loeb. After the Swedish Rally ended with the same top-two, Loeb and Kronos Citroën went on to win five rallies in a row. 2005 World Rally Championship Season
The 2005 World Rally Championship was the 33rd season in the FIA World Rally Championship. The season began on January 21 with the Monte-Carlo Rally and ended on November 13 with the Rally Australia. In the drivers' world championship, Citroën Total's Sébastien Loeb successfully defended his title, finishing a record 56 points ahead of Subaru's Petter Solberg and Peugeot's Marcus Grönholm. Loeb also set several other records during the season. He won ten world rallies, beating the previous record of six held by him (2004) and Didier Auriol (1992). He also took six consecutive wins, beating Timo Salonen's 20-year-old record of four. The 2000 World Rally Championship was the 28th season of the FIA World Rally Championship. The season consisted of 14 rallies. The drivers' world championship was won by Marcus Grönholm in a Peugeot 206 WRC, breaking the streak of Tommi Mäkinen who had won the previous 4 titles for Mitsubishi, ahead of Richard Burns and Carlos Sainz. The 2007 World Rally Championship was the 35th season in the FIA World Rally Championship. The season began on 19 January, with the Monte Carlo Rally and ended on 2 December, with the Wales Rally GB. Citroën's Sébastien Loeb won his fourth consecutive drivers' world championship ahead of Ford's Marcus Grönholm and Mikko Hirvonen. 1995 World Rally Championship Season
The 1995 World Rally Championship was the 23rd season of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) World Rally Championship (WRC). The season consisted of 8 rallies. The drivers' world championship was won by Colin McRae in a Subaru Impreza 555, ahead of team-mate Carlos Sainz. The manufacturers' title was won by Subaru. Toyota was caught using illegal turbo restrictors at the Rally Catalunya and were given a one-year ban by the FIA. FIA president Max Mosley called the illegal turbo restrictor "the most sophisticated device I've ever seen in 30 years of motor sports."
