Time Trap (adventure)
''Time Trap'' is a role-playing game adventure published by TSR in 1984 for the '' Marvel Super Heroes'' role-playing game. Plot summary ''Time Trap'' is a scenario in which the Avengers must travel through time to prevent the destruction of the Earth. Villains include Dragon Man, the Grey Gargoyle, and the Super-Skrull. In the ''Time Trap'', six of the Avengers fight Kang, a time-travelling super-villain who wants to trick them into destroying their own past. Three of seven chapters are encounters designed to weaken the Avengers' position in the present, by making it less likely that the Avengers will be formed or survive the stormy events of the group's early history. The remainder are encounters with Kang and attempts to thwart his plans. TSR (company)
TSR, Inc. was an American game publishing company, best known as the original publisher of ''Dungeons & Dragons'' (''D&D''). Its earliest incarnation, Tactical Studies Rules, was founded in October 1973 by Gary Gygax and Don Kaye. Gygax had been unable to find a publisher for ''D&D'', a new type of game he and Dave Arneson were co-developing, so founded the new company with Kaye to self-publish their products. Needing financing to bring their new game to market, Gygax and Kaye brought in Brian Blume in December as an equal partner. ''Dungeons & Dragons'' is generally considered the first tabletop role-playing game (TTRPG), and established the genre. When Kaye died suddenly in 1975, the Tactical Studies Rules partnership restructured into TSR Hobbies, Inc. and accepted investment from Blume's father Melvin. Monica Rambeau
Monica Rambeau is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer Roger Stern and artist John Romita Jr., the character debuted in ''The Amazing Spider-Man Annual'' #16 (October 1982). Monica was introduced as the second Captain Marvel, and she gained super powers after being bombarded by extradimensional energy produced by an energy disruptor weapon. The character joined and eventually became leader of the Avengers for a time. She was also a member of Nextwave and the latest Ultimates team. ''Murderworld!'' is a role-playing game adventure published by TSR in 1984 for the '' Marvel Super Heroes'' role-playing game. Plot summary ''Murderworld!'' is a scenario in which the villain Arcade lures the Fantastic Four into his amusement park, a twisted playground for assassination. ''Murderworld'' involves the Fantastic Four with the super-villain Arcade, who attempts to lure them out of their headquarters into various traps. Meanwhile, two super-villain groups enter the Baxter Building and fight, turning on the Fantastic Four when they return. Other subplots lead to a final confrontation in another dimension. A gamemaster (GM; also known as game master, game manager, game moderator, referee, or storyteller) is a person who acts as an organizer, officiant for regarding rules, arbitrator, and moderator for a multiplayer role-playing game. They are more common in co-operative games in which players work together than in competitive games in which players oppose each other. The act performed by a gamemaster is sometimes referred to as "Gamemastering" or simply "GM-ing".
