Yuli Raizman
Yuli Yakovlevich Raizman (russian: Юлий Яковлевич Райзман; December 15, 1903 – December 11, 1994) was a Soviet Russian film director and screenwriter. Career In 1924 he became a literary consultant for Mezhrabpom-Rus, the German-Russian film studio. He was assigned as assistant to Yakov Protazanov in 1925 and made his directorial debut in 1927 with ''The Circle'', first drawing attention the following year with '' Penal Servitude''. His next success was ''The Earth Thirsts'' in 1930, the Soviet Union's first sound film. He joined Mosfilm in 1931 and in 1937 he won his first Stalin Prize (of the Second degree) for ''The Last Night'', which was also his first collaboration with the writer Yevgeny Gabrilovich with whom he worked for the next 40 years. The film also achieved international recognition winning the Grand Prix at the Paris International Exhibition of 1937. Vera Valentinovna Alentova (russian: Ве́ра Валенти́новна Але́нтова; born 21 February 1942) is a Soviet and Russian actress famous for her leading role in ''Moscow Does Not Believe in Tears''. Biography Vera Alentova was born on 21 February 1942 in the town of Kotlas in the Arkhangelsk Oblast, in the family of actors Valentin Mikhailovich Bykov and Irina Nikolaevna Alentova. She was named in honor of her maternal grandmother, who died at the age of twenty-eight. The actress's grandfather graduated from Tomsk State University and worked as a doctor, her grandmother graduated from Bestuzhev's courses. Vera's father died when she was four years old, after which her mother took her to Ukraine. Vladislav Ignatievich Strzhelchik (russian: Владисла́в Игна́тьевич Стрже́льчик) (1921–1995) was a Soviet and Russian actor. People's Artist of the USSR (1974). Biography Vladislav Strzhelchik born in Petrograd (now Saint Petersburg, Russia). His father, Ignatiy Petrovich was a native of Poland ( pl, Ignacy Strzelczyk) who settled in St. Petersburg at the beginning of the 20th century. In 1938 Vladislav Strzhelchik was accepted into the studio of the Gorky Bolshoi Drama Theater and in the same year he became an actor of this theater, where he worked all his life. He graduated from the studio only in 1947. During the Great Patriotic War, Vladislav Strzhelchik was drafted into the Red Army and served in the infantry at the forefront. The Vasilyev Brothers State Prize of the RSFSR was an annual State Prize established by the Council of Ministers of the RSFSR in 1965. Three Vasilyev Brothers prizes were awarded annually from 1966 until 1990 for cinematographic works of all kinds (fiction, documentary, non-fiction and animated) and for work by screenwriters, directors, actors, cameramen, artists, sound engineers and consultants. A winner was awarded the title "Laureate of RSFSR State Prize" and was presented with a diploma and badge of honour. Kinopoisk (russian: Кинопоиск, a portmanteau of "cinema" and "search") is a Russian online database of information related to films, TV shows including cast, production team, biographies, plot summaries, ratings, and reviews.
