Time (rock Band)
Time was a Yugoslav rock band formed in Zagreb in 1971. They were one of the most prominent acts of the 1970s Yugoslav rock scene. The band was formed by former Dinamiti and Korni Grupa vocalist Adolf "Dado" Topić. The first lineup featured, beside Topić, Vedran Božić (guitar), Tihomir "Pop" Asanović (keyboards), Mario Mavrin (bass guitar), Ratomir "Ratko" Divjak (drums) and Branislav "Labmert" Živković (piano and flute). The band gained large popularity and media attention with the release of their self-titled debut album in 1972—today considered one of the most important albums in the history of Yugoslav rock music—presenting themselves with jazz-influenced progressive rock sound. Tihomir Pop Asanović
Tihomir "Pop" Asanović (born 16 November 1948) is a Croatian jazz-rock and Jazz fusion, fusion keyboardist, Hammond organ player and composer. Asanović is a keyboardist who has played in 1970s and in early 1980s in various SFR Yugoslavia, Yugoslavian musical line-ups and toured with them around the world. On the 1973 tour with Boško Petrović (musician), Boško Petrović in East Berlin, he was proclaimed as being the fourth best jazz organist in Europe. Career Asanović has finished musical high school in Skopje. With 16 years he started to perform with big dancing orchestra of RTV Skopje. Grešnici (trans. ''The Sinners'') were a Yugoslav rock band formed in Zagreb in 1965. They are notable as one of the pioneers of the Yugoslav rock scene. History 1965–1975 Grešnici were formed in Zagreb in 1965 by brothers Krešo (organ, piano) and Kruno Pavlić (saxophone, organ, piano, vocals), Vedran Božić (guitar), Vlado Bastajić (bass guitar, vocals) and Darko Jambrek (drums). Initially, the band performed covers of international rock hits, and managed to gain some local popularity, holding regular concerts in Tucman club in Zagreb. Kornelije "Bata" Kovač ( sr-Cyrl, Корнелије "Бата" Ковач, ; ; 1 January 1942 – 13 September 2022) was a Serbian composer. Early life Born in Niš during World War II in the Nazi-occupied Serbia to a Hungarian father and a Serbian mother, Kovač grew up in a prominent artistic family - his grandfather was a conductor, his father a music professor and a violinist, his mother a singer in the opera choir. Kovač received his early music education at the College of Music in Subotica, after which he attempted to enroll in the Belgrade Music Academy.
