Tim Tackett
Tim Tackett is a martial arts instructor and author from Redlands, California who runs a non-profit group dedicated to preserving Bruce Lee's art of Jeet Kune Do. Martial arts history Tackett began training in the martial arts when he was stationed in Taiwan in 1962 while serving in the United States Air Force. On the recommendation of a friend, he began studying martial arts intensively. During his 3 years in Taiwan he learned two types of ''xingyiquan'', tai chi, Northern and Southern Shaolin, White Crane, and Monkey style kung fu. After his discharge from the Air Force in 1966, he opened a Gung Fu school in Redlands, California while attending the University of California, Riverside. Jerry Poteet
Jerry Poteet (November 29, 1936 – January 15, 2012) was an American martial arts instructor, recognized for his teachings in the art of Jeet Kune Do as an original Bruce Lee student. Biography Poteet began his martial arts career in Kenpo, and became a brown belt under the Kenpo instructor Ed Parker. Poteet also trained the Dallas Cowboys football team and bodyguards in Jeet Kune Do, and choreograph the fight scenes of several films. Poteet was chosen as the person best able to train Jason Scott Lee, for the latter's role in '' Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story''. Richard Bustillo
Richard Bustillo (January 28, 1942 – March 30, 2017) was an American martial arts instructor from Hawaii who was a student of the late Bruce Lee and an authority on Jeet Kune Do Concepts and Filipino Martial Arts. Martial arts Bustillo began studying martial arts at the age of 8 with eskrima in his native Hawaii at the Gray YMCA Center in Palolo Valley, Hawaii under his father. He learned to box when he was 10 and competed in PAL boxing under the Veterans Boxing Club in Honolulu's Aala Park. At the age of 14, Bustillo studied Kajukenbo with the Kempo/Karate Club of Waipahu until graduating from High School and moving to California to pursue a college education. Dan Inosanto
Dan Inosanto (born July 24, 1936) is an American martial arts instructor and actor. Inosanto holds instructor or black belt level ranks in several martial arts. He has studied traditional Karate, Judo, Jujutsu, Kung Fu, Shooto, Muay Thai, Tai Chi, Kali, Silat, and Jeet Kune Do. He was one of three people who were appointed to teach at one of the three Jun Fan Gung Fu institutes under Bruce Lee, the other two being Taky Kimura and James Yimm Lee. After Bruce Lee's death, Inosanto became the principal spokesperson and historian for Jeet Kune Do.
