Timothy Eric Parker is an American puzzle editor, games creator, author, and TV producer. Puzzle career In November 1996, Parker started writing a "Daily Crossword" feature. By early 1997, Parker’s puzzle became the "Universal Crossword" syndicated by Universal Press Syndicate to newspapers and clients worldwide. In 1999, together with Universal Press Syndicate’s Uclick division, Parker founded The Puzzle Society, and is the founder and senior editor of the Universal Uclick line of crossword puzzles and games. On May 19, 2003, Parker became the second crossword editor of USA Today, following Charles Preston. In summer of 2003, Parker created the "Family Time Crossword". Plagiarism scandal On March 4, 2016, the website FiveThirtyEight, in an article by Oliver Roeder, reported that "a group of eagle-eyed puzzlers" had found similarities between 1,537 of the 15,000 puzzles Parker had edited and published through ''USA Today'' and Universal Uclick and ones published by ''The ... Timothy Britten Parker (born February 8, 1962), also known as Toby Parker, is an American actor. Background Parker was born in Iowa City, Iowa, the eldest son of Barbara (née Keck) and Stephen Parker. They divorced and his mother married Paul Forste, who had been a babysitter to the three Parker children. The family moved to Cincinnati, Ohio. The Forstes had four more children. Parker initially studied, with his sister, at the Cincinnati Ballet on full scholarship. His mother, Barbara, said in a 2023 interview that television was "discouraged" and each of her children were encouraged to take a library book with them when leaving the house. “The kids got free lunches for a while, which was embarrassing,” she said. “But I don’t think that we ever lived in an impoverished situation where there was no culture.” He moved to New York City with his family in 1977 as he began pursuing his professional career. Timothy Jerome Parker (October 7, 1970 – June 18, 2021), better known by his stage name Gift of Gab, was an American rapper best known for performing in the Bay Area hip hop duo Blackalicious along with DJ Chief Xcel. He was also a member of Quannum Projects, a Bay Area hip hop crew and record label, and performed and recorded as a solo artist. Early life Timothy Jerome Parker was born in 1970 and raised in the Pacoima neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. Timothy Charles Parker (born 19 June 1955) is a British executive. He has been chairman of the National Trust, Post Office Ltd and Her Majesty's Courts and Tribunals Service (HMCTS). From 1986 to 2014 he was CEO of a number of companies, including successively Kenwood, Clarks Shoes, Kwik-Fit, the AA and Samsonite. He is currently non-executive chairman of Samsonite, and a director of British Pathe. Early life and education Parker was born in Aldershot, Hampshire, in 1955. The son of an army officer, he spent much of his childhood abroad. He was educated at Abingdon School in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, leaving in 1973. He attended Pembroke College, Oxford, where he was chairman of the Oxford University Labour Club. He has an MA in philosophy, politics and economics from Oxford (1977), and an MSc in business studies from the London Business School (1981).
