Tim Ohlbrecht
Tim Ohlbrecht (born August 30, 1988) is a retired German professional basketball player. He won 84 caps for the German men's national team, competing in the 2008 Olympic Games, the 2010 World Championships as well as the European Championships in 2009 and 2011. He mostly played for teams in the German Bundesliga. Ohlbrecht had three NBA appearances for the Houston Rockets. He won two NBA D-League championships. Professional career Ohlbrecht began his professional playing career with the German League club Bayer Giants Leverkusen, during the 2005–06 season. He then signed with the German League club Brose Baskets in 2006. He was loaned to TSV Breitengüßbach, where he played in both the German 2nd Division, and the German 3rd Division, from 2006 to 2008. He was also loaned to Nürnberger BC, where he played in the German 2nd Division, during the 2007–08 season. Wuppertal (; "'' Wupper Dale''") is, with a population of approximately 355,000, the seventh-largest city in North Rhine-Westphalia as well as the 17th-largest city of Germany. The Germany men's national basketball team (german: Deutsche Basketballnationalmannschaft or ''Die Mannschaft'') represents Germany in international basketball competition. The team is directed by the German Basketball Federation (''Deutscher Basketball Bund''), the governing body for basketball in Germany. Currently, Germany is ranked 8th in the FIBA World Rankings. The draft, which started at 7:00 pm Eastern Daylight Time (2300 UTC), was broadcast in the United States on ESPN. The Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) (English language: ''Federal Basketball League''), for sponsorship reasons named easyCredit BBL, is the highest level league of professional club basketball in Germany. The league comprises 18 teams. A BBL season is split into a league stage and a playoff stage. At the end of the league stage, the top eight teams qualify for the playoff stage, and the teams positioned in the 17th and 18th places are relegated to a lower-tier league. The playoffs are played in a " Best of five" format. The winning team of the final round are crowned the German Champions of that season. NBA G League
The NBA G League, or simply the G League, is the National Basketball Association's (NBA) official minor league basketball organization. The league was known as the National Basketball Development League (NBDL) from 2001 to 2005, and the NBA Development League (NBA D-League) from 2005 until 2017. The league started with eight teams until NBA commissioner David Stern announced a plan to expand the NBA D-League to 15 teams and develop it into a true minor league farm system, with each NBA D-League team affiliated with one or more NBA teams in March 2005.
