Tim Bonner
Tim Bonner (born December 7, 1995) is an American professional football defensive end. He played college football for the Florida Atlantic Owls, as well as junior college football for the East Mississippi Lions. He has played in the Canadian Football League (CFL) and in the United States Football League (USFL). Early life Bonner grew up in Demopolis, Alabama, and attended Demopolis High School. He was named first team All-State as a senior after recording 84 tackles with 31 tackles for loss and nine sacks in ten games played. A 3-star recruit, Bonner committed to play college football at Louisville over offers from Kentucky, Memphis, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and UAB, among others. Demopolis is the largest city in Marengo County, Alabama, Marengo County, in west-central Alabama. The population was 7,162 at the 2020 United States census, 2020 census. The UAB Blazers football team represents the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) in the sport of American football. The Blazers compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and American Athletic Conference (The American). The team is led by head coach Trent Dilfer, who was named the program’s 7th head coach on November 30, 2022. Home games were previously held at Legion Field in Birmingham from the 1991 season to the 2020 season. A new stadium, Protective Stadium, has been the home of the Blazers starting from the 2021 season. The new stadium's capacity is over 47,000.
