Tim Belk
Timothy William Belk (born April 6, 1970) is a former professional first baseman who played one season for the Cincinnati Reds of Major League Baseball. He made his Major League debut on June 25, 1996, and played his final game on July 3, 1996. He was drafted by the Reds on June 1, 1992 and signed with them on June 4, 1992. He was later traded to the Detroit Tigers on March 20, 1998, for Kevin Baez Kevin Richard Baez (born January 10, 1967) is an American former Major League Baseball player. A first baseman, abbreviated 1B, is the player on a baseball or softball team who fields the area nearest first base, the first of four bases a baserunner must touch in succession to score a run. The first baseman is responsible for the majority of plays made at that base. In the numbering system used to record defensive plays, the first baseman is assigned the number 3. Also called first sacker or cornerman, the first baseman is ideally a tall player who throws left-handed and possesses good flexibility and quick reflexes. Flexibility is needed because the first baseman receives throws from the other infielders, the catcher and the pitcher after they have fielded ground balls.
