Tim Atkins
Timothy Atkins is a British field hockey player. He plays for the Scotland men's national field hockey team and plays club hockey in the Men's England Hockey League for Old Georgians Hockey Club. He is also a type 1 diabetic working closely with Diabetes UK. His first international cap for Scotland came in March 2017 at World League 2. In August 2019, he was selected in the Scotland squad for the 2019 EuroHockey Championship. Club career Atkins started his hockey career at the age of 5, where he joined Wallingford Hockey Club. He has played the majority of his senior hockey career at Reading Hockey Club. Old Georgians Hockey Club
Old Georgians Hockey Club (OGHC) is an English professional field hockey club based in Addlestone, Surrey. The club was founded in 1995 and the men's team are the current English champions. The club currently has six men's teams (including 2 veterans team) and four ladies teams. The junior section is the OGHC Dragons. History In 2019, the men's first team won the Hockey League Conference East and subsequent promotion play off tournament to earn promotion to the 2019-20 Premier Division. This is the first time in the club's history that they played in the elite (tier one) division of the Men's England Hockey League. The 2019 Men's EuroHockey Championship was the 17th edition of the EuroHockey Nations Championship, the biennial international men's field hockey championship of Europe organised by the European Hockey Federation. It was held alongside the women's tournament from 16 to 24 August 2019 in Antwerp, Belgium.
