Tillberga IK Bandy, also called ''Tillberga Bandy Västerås'' or ''TB Västerås'', is a Swedish Bandy club playing in the Allsvenskan for the first time in the 2006–07 season. Tillberga IK were founded in 1930 and play their home games at Rocklunda. Tillberga IK have struggled in the Allsvenskan this season finishing bottom of the Norra division and will have a difficult fight to avoid relegation during the Superallsvenskan. Tillberga IK gained promotion in the 2005–06 season by finishing top in the Division One Norra Playoffs. The club has been playing in the top-tier Elitserien on and off for many seasons. Allsvenskan (bandy)
Allsvenskan (literally, "The All Swedish") () is since the 2007–08 the second highest level of bandy in Sweden and comprises 24 teams in two regional groups. This change was made when Allsvenskan and Elitserien (bandy), Allsvenskan and Elitserien were cancelled and a new top-tier called Elitserien (bandy), Elitserien was created. Structure During the first two years, Allsvenskan consisted of three groups with ten teams in each, i.e. a total of 30 teams. The groups were divided geographically, in Allsvenskan Norra (North), Allsvenskan Mellersta (Mid) and Allsvenskan Södra (South). For the third season, 2009–10, Allsvenskan was restructured into two groups, Norra and Södra, with 12 teams each, so there were only 24 teams left in total. Per Fosshaug
Per "Pelle" Fosshaug (born 24 February 1965) is a Swedish bandy manager and former bandy player. Fosshaug played in midfield for many clubs in Sweden, as well as for the Sweden national bandy team, for which he made a record 129 appearances between 1994 and 2005. Fosshaug has made 129 appearances for Sweden. Career His career began in the 1982–83 season, where he played for second division side Borlänge-Stora Tuna BK. In 1986, he moved to Allsvenskan side Falu BS, where he spent two seasons, followed by another two at IFK Vänersborg. In 1992, he made the move to Västerås SK Bandy, the club with which he became most commonly associated. During his time with Västerås SK, Fosshaug made the majority of his national team appearances. Jarno Väkiparta (born 13 March 1974 in Pori) is a Finnish bandy player who currently plays for Tillberga IK Bandy from Sweden. Jarno is a forward who has represented the Finnish national team. Jarno started his career in his homeland at Narukerä before moving to Ljusdals BK of Sweden in 1998. The Swedish Bandy Association () is the governing body of the winter team sport of bandy in Sweden. It organizes the bandy leagues, Elitserien and Allsvenskan for men and Damallsvenskan for women, and the men's and women's national teams. It was established in Stockholm on 5 April 1925, and is based in Stockholm, after moving from Katrineholm. It is a founding member of FIB, Federation of International Bandy. Bandy was introduced in Sweden in 1895 by all-round athlete Clarence von Rosen. He picked the game up during a visit to bandy's home country Great Britain. ABB Arena is the common name for the two biggest indoor arenas in Västerås, Sweden. Venues Arena Nord ABB Arena Nord is the ice hockey arena and VIK Västerås HK's home arena. GAIS Bandy
GAIS Bandy is the bandy section of sports club GAIS from Gothenburg. In 1920, GAIS won the Gothenburg district championship, but the club had not had an active bandy department for years when it took up playing bandy again in 2005. GAIS play their home games at Heden in central Gothenburg. GAIS came close to winning their first tournament in 2006 when they lost 6-10 to IFK Kungälv in the final of the Kosa Cup. The 2014–15 Elitserien was the eighth season of the present highest Swedish men's bandy top division, Elitserien. The regular season began on 24 October 2014, and the final was played at Tele2 Arena in Stockholm on 14 March 2015. Summary *At the end of the former season, it looked like the fourteen teams in the league would be the same as last season, because no Allsvenskan team was able to win enough games in the qualification series in March 2014.
