Craig Tiley
Craig Tiley (born 1962) is a South African tennis executive and retired U.S. college tennis coach. Tiley is the current CEO of Tennis Australia, which is the governing body that oversees tennis in Australia. He is also the Director of the Australian Open. As a college coach he led the Illinois Fighting Illini men's tennis team to National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I national championship in 2003 and ITA National Team Indoor Championships in 2003 and 2004. Early years Tiley was born in Durban, South Africa and attended high school in Johannesburg. He began playing tennis at the age of 12 and achieved a top ranking as an amateur in South Africa, which enabled Tiley to play in satellite tournaments throughout Europe from 1983 to 1986. Roger Tiley
Roger Tiley (born 1960) is a Welsh documentary photographer. His work on documenting the coal mines of Wales and America has been used extensively in publications. Specifically during the UK miners' strike (1984–1985). Life and work Tiley first worked in photography as an industrial photographer for Lucas Industries, a large car component company. He spent four years there and subsequently decided to specialise in documentary photography. He studied at the School of Documentary Photography under Magnum photographer David Hurn. On completion of the course in 1984, Tiley worked for a number of national newspapers and magazines, including ''The Times,'' ''The Sunday Times,'' ''The Guardian'' and ''The Observer.'' Much of his journalistic work was based on the miners' strike in 1984/1985. Arthur Tiley
Arthur Tiley (17 January 1910 – 5 June 1994) was a British businessman and Conservative and National Liberal politician. Upon the re-creation of the Bradford West constituency in 1955, Tiley was elected as its Member of Parliament. He held the seat until his defeat at the 1966 general election by Labour's Norman Haseldine. He was the MP for Bradford during the city's smallpox outbreak in 1962. Brad Tiley
Bradley Phillip Tiley (born July 5, 1971) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman. Playing career Born in Markdale, Ontario, Tiley was drafted 84th overall by the Boston Bruins in the 1991 NHL Entry Draft. He played junior hockey with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds of the Ontario Hockey League. Tiley played eleven NHL games, nine with the Phoenix Coyotes and two with the Philadelphia Flyers, scoring no points and no penalty minutes. He also played one playoff game for the Coyotes during the 1998–99 NHL season. Tiley finished his playing career with the Nippon Paper Cranes in Japan. Steven Tiley
Steven John Tiley (born 11 September 1982) is an English professional golfer. Tiley was born in Canterbury. He was assisted by College Prospects of America and attended Georgia State University and turned professional in 2007. Having failed to reach the final stage of the European Tour qualifying school, he gained his card on the Asian Tour. He had three top 10 finishes during his first season, but finished just outside the top 65 on the Order of Merit that was required to retain his playing status. Tiley began the 2009 season on the Jamega Tour, a UK-based developmental tour. After a strong start, winning three tournaments, he started to play in some events on the second tier Challenge Tour. Later in the year he won the Egyptian Open, a Challenge Tour specially approved tournament prior to it becoming a full tour event in 2010. Since 2010 Tiley has played mainly on the Challenge Tour. Tilley's Devine Café Gallery is a well-known café in the suburb of Lyneham in Canberra, Australia. It was named after Matilda 'Tilly' Devine, an English Australian gangster and madame from Sydney. When the café first opened in 1984, it was intended as a women's space, with men allowed entry only when accompanied by women. Popular with lesbian women, it quickly became an icon of Canberra's LGBT scene. Attempts to restrict or limit entry of men brought challenges, most notably by a group of cadets from the Royal Military College, Duntroon who attempted to force their way in, instigating a brawl. The policy was maintained for two years. Tilley's originally had seating for 60, but subsequently expanded five times, and now has large indoor and outdoor eating areas.
