Tijesno
Tisno is a naselje, settlement and a municipality in Šibenik-Knin County, in southern Croatia. Etymology Tisno was named after the Croatian language, Croatian ikavian word ''tisno'' which means strait, which describes its location at the narrow strait separating the island of Murter from the mainland. The municipality extends both to several other villages on the island as well as several nearby villages inland. Demographics In 2021, the municipality had 2,908 residents in the following settlements: *Betina, population 718 *Dazlina, population 46 *Dubrava kod Tisna, population 154 *Jezera, Tisno, Jezera, population 798 *Tisno, population 1,192 95.98% of the population are Croats. Murter
Murter () is an island in the Croatian part of the Adriatic Sea. Population The main settlements on the island are Murter, located on the north-western part of the island, and the southern part of Tisno. Other settlements on the island include the villages of Betina on the northwestern side and Jezera on the southeastern coast. In the 2011 census, the total island population is about 3,608 inhabitants. Geography The island is in the northwest part of the Šibenik archipelago, separated from the mainland by a wide sea canal at Tisno which is spanned by a short draw-bridge. The Ivinj Archeological Site With Saint Martin’s Church
The Ivinj archeological site is an archeological site near Pirovac, Dalmatia. The site was recognized as a cultural heritage site on 20 July 2012. It was awarded the status of a protected cultural monument by the Ministry of Culture of Croatia. The site encompasses a Roman Villa, Basilica, a baptistery, and the Church of Saint Martin. Roman villa The remnants of a Roman villa in Ivinj date back to the first century AD. The villa was built by an unknown immigrant who moved to Ivinj after the Batonian uprising had ended. At the beginning of the 1st century, they constructed a building that had both residential and economic functions. Through later modifications, this building grew into a large rustic villa. It featured its own inner courtyard, oil production areas, storage rooms and quarters for the workers. A separate, luxuriously furnished section of the villa was used by the owner.
