The Gabtaanle ( so, Gabtaanle, ar, غابتانلي) is a Somali clan. It is a sub-clan of Ahmed Harti, also called Mooracase, with Dishiishe, Tiinle and Maganlabe as brother clans. Gabtaanle's forefather was the first man to settle in the area currently known as Bosaso. Af Urur is a town in the Puntland state of Somalia, located on the Golis Mountains, somewhat far from Bosaso, but its exact location is not known. The settlement is placed at a strategically important location, and has thus become strongly contested during the Somali Civil War.
