Tiger Army
Tiger Army is an American psychobilly band based in Los Angeles, California. The group was formed in 1996 in Berkeley, California, and its only constant member is singer, guitarist, and lead songwriter Nick 13. The band has released six studio albums and four EPs. History Tiger Army played their first show at the famous 924 Gilman Street venue in Berkeley, California, on March 29, 1996. The band's sound drew from early punk, rock n' roll and rockabilly, as well as dark English pop. Their first official release was a self-titled vinyl record EP, now referred to as the ''Temptation EP''. The record was released by Chapter 11 Records. This EP caught the attention of Tim Armstrong of Rancid; he was also co-owner of Hellcat Records. Armstrong signed the band. Tiger Army recorded their first full-length, the self-titled '' Tiger Army'', in January 1999. It was released that October. Geoff Kresge
Geoff Kresge is a songwriter, guitarist, bassist, and record producer. Career file:AFI Berkley.JPG, Kresge [far right] in 1995. Kresge played with the punk rock, punk group AFI (band), AFI during their early career, from 1992 through 1997, and co-wrote the majority of their early material alongside frontman Davey Havok. During an AFI hiatus in 1993, he briefly moved to New York to join street punk band Blanks 77. He later went on to play with Canadian horror punk, horror rock group The Forbidden Dimension and also a high-energy rock band, The Daggers. Kresge joined psychobilly band Tiger Army in 1999 just as the band became a full-time touring band, hitting the road in support of their debut album though he played an electric bass in his previous bands, the Double bass, upright bass is used for Tiger Army's music. Warped Tour
The Warped Tour is a Concert tour, touring Rock music, rock music festival that toured the United States and Canada each summer from 1995 until 2019, and returned in 2025 for its 30th anniversary. By 2015, Warped was the largest traveling music festival in the United States and the longest-running touring music festival in North America. Internationally, the festival stopped in Australia from 1998–2002 and again in 2013, as well as the United Kingdom in 2012 and 2015. Following the first Warped Tour, the skateboard shoe manufacturer Vans became the festival's title sponsor, when it then became known as the Vans Warped Tour. Warped Tour was conceived by Kevin Lyman as an electric alternative rock festival, but later began focusing on punk rock music. The Alternative Music Foundation located at 924 Gilman Street, almost exclusively referred to as "Gilman", is a non-profit, all-ages, collectively organized music club. It is located in the West Berkeley, Berkeley, California, West Berkeley area of Berkeley, California. Gilman is widely regarded as the springboard for the punk rock#Pop-punk and mainstream success, '90s punk revival and is known for its associations with punk bands Green Day, Operation Ivy (band), Operation Ivy, Rancid (band), Rancid, AFI (band), AFI, and The Offspring, and playwright Miranda July. 924 Gilman remains an active club, hosting over twenty concerts a month, and remains a local hub for community organizing, graffiti, and performance art. Social Distortion
Social Distortion is an American punk rock band formed in 1978 in Fullerton, California. It consists of Mike Ness (vocals, guitar), Jonny Wickersham (guitar), Brent Harding (bass), David Hidalgo Jr. (drums), and David Kalish (keyboards). Emerging from the Punk rock in California, Orange County hardcore scene of the late 1970s, alongside Agent Orange (band), Agent Orange and the Adolescents (band), Adolescents, Social Distortion went on a temporary hiatus in the mid-1980s, due to Ness's drug addiction and troubles with the law which resulted in extended stints in various rehabilitation centers that lasted for two years.
