Tiff Joy
Tiffany Joy McGhee (born April 7, 1986), who goes by the stage name Tiff Joy, is an American urban contemporary gospel artist and musician. She started her music career, in 2014, by performing on an album by Ricky Dillard. Her first studio album, ''TIFF JOY'', was released on September 25, 2015, by WalkWay Music Group, VMan Entertainment, and Tyscot Records. This album was her breakthrough release upon the ''Billboard'' magazine charts. Early life Tiff Joy was born Tiffany Joy McGhee, on April 7, 1986, the daughter of Pastors Timothy and Bernadine Bell-McGhee of the Free Spirit Ministerial Worship Center congregation in Chicago, Illinois, where she was raised. Urban Contemporary Gospel
Urban/contemporary gospel, also known as urban gospel music, urban gospel pop, or just simply urban gospel, is a modern subgenre of gospel music. Although the style developed gradually, early forms are generally dated to the 1970s, and the genre was well established by the end of the 1980s. The radio format is pitched primarily to African-Americans. Christian hip hop can be considered a subtype of this genre. Origins and development Protestant hymns and African-American spirituals make up the basic source material for traditional black gospel music, which in turn is the most significant source of urban/contemporary gospel. Urban/contemporary gospel has kept the spiritual focus of the traditional black gospel music, but uses modern musical forms. Tyscot Records
Tyscot Records is an independent American gospel music record label based in Indianapolis, Indiana. Tyscot Records was founded by Craig Tyson and Dr. Leonard Scott in 1976 in to record their church choir, Christ Church Apostolic Radio Choir. It now stands as the oldest black-owned Gospel recording label in the nation. Dr. Scott and Tyson established Tyscot Records as a recording vehicle for a local church choir project. Leonard Scott operated Tyscot from offices in his dental practice. The company faced hard financial times in the beginning phases and sometime later Craig Tyson decided to relinquish his share in the company. In the 1980s the label gained momentum by signing artists such as the Rev. Bill Sawyer and the Christian Tabernacle Choir, and Robert Turner and the Silver Hearts. Ricky Rydell Dillard (born February 25, 1965) is an American gospel songwriter, singer, and choir director. He started his music career, in 1987, as a Chicago house musician. His first Christian music album was ''Promise'', by Muscle Shoals Records. His next album, ''A Holy Ghost Take-Over'', was released in 1993 by Malaco Records. The subsequent album, ''Hallelujah'', was released by them in 1995. Crystal Spring Records released, 1996's ''Work It Out'', 2000's ''No Limit'', and ''Unplugged'' in 2004. With EMI Gospel, he released, ''7th Episode'', that came out in 2007. He released, ''Keep Living'', with Light Records in 2011.
