Tiantongyuannan Subdistrict
Tiantongyuannan Subdistrict () is a subdistrict on the southern side of Changping District, Beijing, China. It borders Tiantongyuanbei Subdistrict in the north and east, Laiguangying Township and Aoyuncun Subdistrict in the south, Dongsheng and Dongxiaokou Towns in the west. Its population was 116,529 as of 2020. The subdistrict was created in 2012. It took its name from Tiantongyuan, the community that it makes up the southern part of. Tiantongyuan
Tiantongyuan () is a suburb in northern Beijing's Changping District. As of April 2008, it was said to have over 400,000 residents. As of 2019, the population of Tiantongyuan had jumped to 700,000, making it the largest Xiaoqu (housing community) in China, and the suburb accounts for 3% of the population of Beijing. Both Beijing Subway Line 5 and the BRT3 bus serve the area, as do many other Beijing public buses. There are two large bus hubs at Tiantongyuan North subway station and Tiantongyuan North neighborhood. Future expansion of the subway system will see Tiantongyuan acquire two new stations. Tiantongyuan North Station is the northern terminus of Line 5 of the bus system. There are two other Line 5 stations in Tiantongyuan, as well, namely Tiantongyuan and Tiantongyuan South. Aoyuncun Subdistrict
Aoyuncun Subdistrict () is a subdistrict on the northwestern corner of Chaoyang District, Beijing, China. It borders Dongsheng Township and Dongxiaokou Town to the north, Laiguangying Township to the east, Yayuncun and Datun Subdistricts to the south, and Haidian District to the west. Laiguangying Area () is an area and township on the northern part of Chaoyang District, Beijing, China. Tiantongyuanbei Subdistrict () is a subdistrict situated on the southeastern corner of Changping District, Beijing, China. It shares border with Beiqijia Town in the north and east, Laiguangying Township and Tiantongyuannan Subdistrict in the south, and Dongxiaokou Area in the west. In the year 2020, it had 142,707 people residing within its borders. The subdistrict was created in 2012 from part of Dongxiaokou Area. It received the name Tiantongyuanbei for being the north part of Tiantongyuan, a residential community developed in 1999.
