Diepflingen is a municipality in the district of Sissach in the canton of Basel-Country in Switzerland. History Diepflingen is first mentioned in 1251 as ''Dyephlinchon''. Diepflingen gained some fame during the separation of Basel-Country from Basel-City by putting itself directly under federal rule, thus proclaiming the Republic Diepflingen.
