Théodore Nézel
Théodore Nézel (25 February 1799 – 23 May 1854) was a 19th-century French playwright and Libretto, librettist. An employee at the ministry of public instruction, he was appointed managing director of the Théâtre du Panthéon in 1838. His plays, often signed "Théodore" or "Théodore N.", were presented on the most important Parisian stages of the 19th century, including the Théâtre de l'Ambigu, the Théâtre des Nouveautés, the Théâtre du Palais-Royal, and the Théâtre des Variétés. Emmanuel Théaulon
Marie-Emmanuel-Guillaume-Marguerite Théaulon de Lambert (14 August 1787, Aigues-Mortes – 16 November 1841) was a French playwright. A customs inspector, then an inspector of military hospitals, he composed an ''Ode'' on the birth of the King of Rome which brought him thanks from Napoleon himself. In 1814 he sang for the Bourbons and put on his first play, ''Les Clefs de Paris, ou le Dessert d’Henri IV'' (The Keys of Paris, or the Deservings of Henry IV), in their honour. In 1815, he composed and organised the posting of proclamations in honour of Louis XVIII. He collaborated on the royalist journals ''Le Nain rose'', ''La Foudre'', ''L’Apollon''. A prologue or prolog (from Ancient Greek πρόλογος ''prólogos'', from πρό ''pró'', "before" and λόγος ''lógos'', "speech") is an opening to a story that establishes the context and gives background details, often some earlier story that ties into the main one, and other miscellaneous information. Tableau Vivant
A (; often shortened to ; ; ) is a static scene containing one or more actors or models. They are stationary and silent, usually in costume, carefully posed, with props and/or scenery, and may be theatrically illuminated. It thus combines aspects of theatre and the visual arts. They were a popular medieval form that revived considerably from the 19th century, probably as they were very suitable for recording by photography. The participants were now mostly amateurs, participating in a quick and easy form of amateur dramatics that could be brought together in an evening, and required little skill in acting or speaking. They were also popular for various sorts of community events and parades. Francis Cornu
Francis Cornu (4 October 1794 – 7 March 1848) was a French playwright. Biography After he made excellent studies in Paris, he lost his father and at the young age of 17, had to work for a living. He entered as an employee at the prefecture of Nièvre. In 1815, suspected of supporting the Bourbons, he was removed from office. He then entered into business house then into a bank where he became chief clerk. Having already composed verses in Latin, he made his debut in 1816 in Lyon in the vaudeville genre. Adrien Henri Payn (Paris, 30 July 1800 – Montévrain, 3 October 1855) was a 19th-century French novelist and playwright. His plays were presented on the most important Parisian stages of the 19th-century, including the Théâtre de l'Ambigu-Comique, the Théâtre du Gymnase-Dramatique and the Théâtre de la Porte-Saint-Martin.
