thrown (stylised in lowercase) are a Swedish metalcore/ hardcore band formed in 2019 in Stockholm. Signed to Arising Empire, they broke out with the EP ''Extended Pain'' (2022), whose tracks have exceeded 50 million Spotify streams. Their debut album, ''EXCESSIVE GUILT'' (30 August 2024), compresses 11 tracks into just over 20 minutes and entered the Swedish Hard Rock Albums Chart at No. 3. Metalcore is a broadly defined fusion genre combining elements of extreme metal and hardcore punk, originating in the 1990s United States and becoming popular in the 2000s. Vildhjarta is a Swedish progressive metal band from Hudiksvall, formed in 2005. The band plays in a Meshuggah-influenced djent style employing heavily down-tuned guitars, as well as harmonic minor chord progressions, jarring staccato riffs, and layers of reverberant guitars and atmospheres. The band currently consists of guitarist Calle Thomér, vocalist Vilhelm Bladin and drummer Buster Odeholm. Since 2025, no original members remain in the band, with the longest-running member being Calle Thomér since joining in 2009. Arising Empire is a German independent record label that focuses primarily on punk, rock, alternative, post-hardcore, and all forms and subsidiaries of metalcore music. It was first established in 2015 in Donzdorf, Baden-Württemberg. History Arising Empire was founded in 2015 by Nuclear Blast owner Markus Staiger and former "People Like You Records" manager Tobbe Falarz. It was, besides the former subsidiary company SharpTone Records, which was founded shortly after Arising Empire, a sub-label of Nuclear Blast.
