Markus Schulz ( , ; born 3 February 1969) is a German DJ and record producer based in Miami, Florida. Best known for his weekly radio show titled ''Global DJ Broadcast'' that airs on Digitally Imported radio, ah.fm and other online stations, Schulz is also the founder of the label Coldharbour Recordings and Schulz Music Group (SMG), an artist management company that manages rising stars in the industry. In September 2012, Schulz was crowned America's number one DJ by ''DJ Times''. In early 2013, after several spontaneous back-to-back performances, Schulz and Ferry Corsten announced they would be producing and touring together as the new EDM group New World Punx. Norman Quentin Cook (born Quentin Leo Cook, 31 July 1963), also known as Fatboy Slim, is an English musician and DJ who helped popularise the big beat genre in the 1990s. His music makes extensive use of Sampling (music), samples from eclectic genres, combined with pop structures, processed rhythms and "sloganistic" vocals. In the 1980s, Cook was the bassist for the indie rock band the Housemartins, who achieved a UK number-one single with their cover of "Caravan of Love". After the Housemartins split, Cook moved to Brighton to pursue dance music. Ruby Skye was a former popular nightclub located at 420 Mason Street in the Tenderloin neighborhood of San Francisco, California, in operation from 1990 to 2017. Building history The nightclub was housed in the Native Sons of the Golden West building at 420 Mason Street, built in 1912 by architect August Headman. The nightclub was housed in what was originally an auditorium/meeting hall. In the 1940s it became a USO club and was called the "Stage Door." Later it started showing films as the "Stage Door Theater" and hosted the premiere of the Alfred Hitchcock film ''Vertigo'' on May 9, 1958. Stereo is a nightclub and afterhours club in Montreal, Quebec which primarily features house and techno music. The nightclub is known for its sound system and loyal following. Stereo has ranked among the top nightclubs in North America and internationally. Stereo was founded in 1998 by DJ-producer Angel Moraes and is currently owned by Tommy Piscardelli. The nightclub has a two floor configuration with the afterhours portion of the club located on the upper floor and a smaller nightclub 'StereoBar' which serves alcohol during sanctioned hours on the lower floor.
