Thorvald Løchen
Thorvald Løchen (1861–1943) was a Norwegian civil servant and politician. He served as the County Governor of Nordre Trondhjems county from 1902 until 1916 and also as the County Governor of Hedmark county from 1916 until 1926. He received a cand.jur. degree in 1883, and then began to work in the Ministry of the Interior from 1891 to 1900. He was the chief executive of the Ministry of Agriculture from 1900 to 1902. After that he became the County Governor in Nordre Trondhjem county from 1902 to 1916; and then immediately after that, he was appointed as the County Governor of Hedmark county, a position he held from 1916 to 1926. During his time in Nordre Trondhjem county, the first part of the Nordlandsbanen railway line, then called the Hell-Sunnan line, was completed. Vang, Hedmark
Vang is a former municipality in the old Hedmark county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 1992 when it became part of Hamar Municipality. The administrative centre of the municipality was at Fredvang. This site, however became part of the town of Hamar in 1946, so after that time, the municipal administration was actually located outside the municipal borders in the neighboring municipality. The main church for the municipality was Vang Church in the village of Ridabu. Gåsbu Ski Center lies in Vang Almenning, and has served as the backup venue for the ''Holmenkollrennene''. This arena has been described as the cradle of all Nordic ski competition, with more than 112 years of international ski competition. The national cross-country skiing championship was last held here in 2002. Ernst Motzfeldt
Ernst Motzfeldt (1 March 1842 – 10 June 1915) was a Norwegian member of the Council of State Division in Stockholm (''Norske statsråder i Stockholm'') 1893-1894 and Minister of Justice from 1894 to 1895 within the Second Cabinet of Prime Minister Emil Stang. Motzfeldt was born in Christiania to Ulrik Anton Motzfeldt and Anna Pauline Birch. He graduated as cand.jur. in 1864, and was named as a Supreme Court Justice from 1890 to 1912. Nordlandsbanen
The Nordland Line (, ) is a railway line between Trondheim and Bodø, Norway. It is the longest in Norway and lacks electrification. The route runs through Trøndelag and Nordland counties, carrying a combination of commuter, long-haul passenger and freight trains. From Trondheim Central Station to Steinkjer Station the line is most heavily used, with hourly services by the Trøndelag Commuter Rail. There are three branch lines—the Stavne–Leangen Line at Leangen Station, the Meråker Line at Hell Station and the Namsos Line at Grong Station. The section from Trondheim to Hell opened on 22 July 1882. The next section, initially the Hell–Sunnan Line, opened in stages between 1902 and 1905. The line was lengthened to Snåsa Station on 30 October 1926 and then to Grong on 30 November 1929. Oslo
Oslo ( or ; ) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. The municipality of Oslo had a population of in 2022, while the city's greater urban area had a population of 1,064,235 in 2022, and the metropolitan area had an estimated population of in 2021. During the Viking Age, the area was part of Viken. Oslo was founded as a city at the end of the Viking Age in 1040 under the name Ánslo, and established as a ''kaupstad'' or trading place in 1048 by Harald Hardrada.
