Thorsten Tönnies
Thorsten Tönnies (born 13 March 1991) is a German former professional footballer who plays as a midfielder or defender for Blau-Weiß Lohne. Career Tönnies made his professional debut for Werder Bremen II on 21 August 2010 in the 3. Liga, coming on as a substitute for Lennart Thy against Hansa Rostock, which finished as a 2–0 away loss. In summer 2021 Tönnies left Regionalliga Nord club SSV Jeddeloh to return to his youth club Blau-Weiß Lohne of the fifth-tier Oberliga Niedersachsen. Lohne targeted promotion to the Regionalliga Nord for the next two seasons. Lohne, Germany
Lohne (Oldenburg) ( Northern Low Saxon: ''Lohn'') is a town in the district of Vechta, in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is located approximately 8 km south-west of Vechta. The town lies on the A1 freeway between Bremen and Osnabrück. Geography Geographical position Lohne lies in the Oldenburg Münsterland between Oldenburg to the north and Osnabrück to the south. Through the city goes the Weser-Ems-watershed from north to south. In the east is the catchment area of the Hunte and in the west the catchment area of the Hase, which lies on a Geest, part of the Dammer Berge. To the east of Lohne lies the Großes Moor, a raised bog. To the west lies the "Dinklager Becken", a great lowland. Drainage occurs by the rivulets "Hopener Mühlenbach" and "Bokerner Bach" into the Hase and "Dadau" into the Hunte. Regionalliga Nord
The Regionalliga Nord ( en, Regional League North) is the fourth tier of the German football league system in the states of Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein, Bremen and Hamburg. It is one of five leagues at this level, together with the Regionalliga Bayern, Regionalliga Nordost, Regionalliga Südwest and the Regionalliga West. Until the introduction of the 3. Liga in 2008 it was the third tier. From 1963 to 1974, a Regionalliga Nord existed as the second tier of the German football league system, but it is not related to the current Regionalliga.
