Thoralf Pryser
Thoralf Pryser (10 August 1885 – 8 July 1970) was a Norwegian journalist and newspaper editor. Personal life Pryser was born in Drammen, a son of Gustav Fredrik Pryser and Caroline Johanne Grimlund. He married Laila Meyer in 1912. His wife died in 1944. In 1951 he married Elisabeth Lie. He died in July 1970. Career Pryser worked as journalist for '' Verdens Gang'' from 1910, for '' Morgenbladet'' from 1911, and for '' Aftenposten'' from 1913. He was chief editor of the newspaper ''Morgenposten'' from 1918 to 1946, except for 1943-1945 when ''Morgenposten'' had installed a Nazi editor. Drammen
Drammen () is a city and municipality in Viken, Norway. The port and river city of Drammen is centrally located in the south-eastern and most populated part of Norway. Drammen municipality also includes smaller towns and villages such as Konnerud, Svelvik, Mjøndalen and Skoger. Location Drammen is located west of the Oslofjord and is situated approximately 44 km South-west of Oslo. There are more than 101 000 inhabitants in the municipality, but the city is the regional capital of an area with 82 000 inhabitants. Order Of Dannebrog
The Order of the Dannebrog ( da, Dannebrogordenen) is a Danish order of chivalry instituted in 1671 by Christian V. Until 1808, membership in the order was limited to fifty members of noble or royal rank, who formed a single class known as ''White Knights'' to distinguish them from the ''Blue Knights'' who were members of the Order of the Elephant. In 1808, the Order was reformed and divided into four classes. The ''Grand Commander'' class is reserved to persons of princely origin. It is awarded only to royalty with close family ties with the Danish Royal House. The statute of the Order was amended in 1951 by a Royal Ordinance so that both men and women could be members of the Order. Today, the Order of the Dannebrog is a means of honouring and rewarding the faithful servants of the modern Danish state for meritorious civil or military service, for a particular contribution to the arts, sciences or business life, or for working for Danish interests. Knut Domaas (1873–1959) was a Norwegian newspaper editor. He was born in Lesja Lesja is a municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Gudbrandsdal. He was born as Peder Haraldsen in Skien as a son of Peder Haraldsen, Sr. (1813–1887) og Caroline Mathilde Pedersen (1828–1907). In May 1890 in Kalmar he married Swedish citizen Ellen Lindquist (1865–1952). He took the cand.jur. degree in 1889.
