Thomas Sommer Arnoldsen (born 11 January 2002) is a Danish handball player for Aalborg Håndbold and the Denmark men's national handball team, Danish national team. He represented Denmark at the 2022 European Men's Under-20 Handball Championship, 2022 European Under-20 Championship and the 2023 Men's Junior World Handball Championship, 2023 Junior World Championship. Aalborg Handball ( da, Aalborg Håndbold) is a handball club from Aalborg, Denmark that competes in the Danish Handball League. Skanderborg Aarhus Håndbold, previously ''Skanderborg Håndbold'', is a men's handball club based in Skanderborg in Jutland, Denmark. The club was founded in 1982 and was the result of a merger between Stilling-Skanderborg and Vrold-Skanderborg Handball Club. Denmark Men's National Handball Team
The Denmark men's national handball team ( da, Danmarks håndboldlandshold, Denmark's national handball team) is controlled by the Danish Handball Association and represents Denmark in international matches. They are the team with the fourth most medals won in European Championship history on the men's side behind Sweden, France and Spain, with a total of seven medals. Two of these are gold medals (2008, 2012), one silver (2014) and four bronze medals (2002, 2004, 2006 & 2022). They are widely considered the best men's handball team in the world. Handball
Handball (also known as team handball, European handball or Olympic handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the other team. A standard match consists of two periods of 30 minutes, and the team that scores more goals wins. Modern handball is played on a court of , with a goal in the middle of each end. The goals are surrounded by a zone where only the defending goalkeeper is allowed; goals must be scored by throwing the ball from outside the zone or while "diving" into it. The Danish Men's Handball League, formerly known as Herrehåndboldligaen is the men's top Danish professional handball league. The winners of the Danish Men's Handball League are recognised as the Danish men's handball champions. The current champions are GOG Håndbold. Season The Danish Men's Handball League season consists of 14 teams, each playing 26 regular season games.
