The Very Reverend, The Very Revd Thomas Claude Robson (died 1934) was the first Anglican Dean of Kimberley, and Rector of St Cyprian's Cathedral, Kimberley, South Africa. Background and prospects at St Cyprian’s in 1905 Canon Robson came to St Cyprian's Church in 1905, a Parish still worshiping in a wood and iron church in Jones Street, Kimberley, a structure imported as a prefabricated kit from England in 1879. Thomas James Robson (January 15, 1946 – April 20, 2021) was an American Major League Baseball player, coach and author. He played first baseman and designated hitter for two seasons for the Texas Rangers. He is author of ''The Hitting Edge''. Personal life Robson was born January 15, 1946, in Rochester, New York. He attended Camelback High School in Phoenix, Arizona. He attended Phoenix College, a community college, and later Utah State University in Logan. He was drafted by the New York Mets in the 50th round of the 1967 amateur draft. His nephew is Major League third baseman Mike Moustakas. On April 20, 2021, Robson died of natural causes, aged 75. Professional baseball career He played for the Texas Rangers for six games during the 1974 season and 17 games during the 1975 season. Henry Hardy (14 January 1895 – 17 February 1969) was a football player from Stockport, England, regarded as one of the best players that Stockport County have ever had. He was the first, and to date the only, player for Stockport County to win an England cap. Hardy made 207 appearances for Stockport. He made his unremarkable debut against Cardiff on 4 September 1920, conceding three goals. He then went on the make 170 consecutive appearances for the club before he missed his first County game, a 1–1 draw with Southampton on 11 October 1924, due to his involvement with the Football League representative side. He also played for Everton and Bury. He is thought of as County's best ever goalkeeper. His statistics, though, in the Hatters' Division Three (North) championship season in 1922, are remarkable. Thomas Robson (1907 – 10 April 1942) was an English professional Association football, footballer who played in the The Football League, Football League for Northampton Town F.C., Northampton Town, Everton F.C., Everton and Sheffield Wednesday F.C., Sheffield Wednesday as a wing half. He was described as "a grand type of sportsman and so far as football went, had to depend solely on his skill and ability, for he had neither height nor weight to help him out". Personal life As of the outbreak of the Second World War, Robson lived close to Goodison Park with his wife and two children. He served as an ARP warden during the early phase of the war, before enlisting as a leading aircraftman in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. Thomas Henry Alex "Hal" Robson-Kanu (born 21 May 1989) is a Welsh inactive professional footballer who last played as a forward for West Bromwich Albion and the Wales national team. Although he initially played primarily on the wing, he was used as a forward during Wales' run to the semi-finals of UEFA Euro 2016.
