Thomas Robson (actor)
Thomas Robson (1737–1813) was a British stage actor and singer. Born as Thomas Robson Brownhill in Kingston upon Hull, Hull in 1737, he began his career in provincial theatre appearing in Norwich in the late 1760s. In 1769 he was at the Old Richmond Theatre, Richmond Theatre and the following year made his London debut at the Theatre Royal, Haymarket then under the management of Samuel Foote. He originated roles of several of Foote's new farces, and also appeared the Old Orchard Street Theatre, Orchard Street Theatre in Bath, Somerset, Bath and the Smock Alley Theatre in Dublin over the next few years. In 1776 he joined the company of the Theatre Royal, Covent Garden and remained there until 1782, appearing in over a hundred roles. His last known roles in London were at the Haymarket in 1784. Later in life he was a driving force behind the construction of the Theatre Royal, Margate from 1786 to provide entertainment for the growing Kent coastal town. He died in Richmond, Surrey in ...

Thomas Henry Alex "Hal" Robson-Kanu (born 21 May 1989) is a Welsh inactive professional footballer who last played as a forward for West Bromwich Albion and the Wales national team. Although he initially played primarily on the wing, he was used as a forward during Wales' run to the semi-finals of UEFA Euro 2016. Robson-Kanu started his career as a schoolboy at Arsenal but was released at 15 and joined Reading. After graduating from the academy in 2007 he spent time on loan at Southend United and Swindon Town before returning to Reading and making his first team debut in 2009. Limited to mainly substitute appearances during his first season, he became an important member of the squad appearing regularly during the 2011–12 Championship winning campaign. Thomas Binns Robson (21 September 1843 – 22 April 1925) was a fruitgrower in South Australia, known for his introduction into the colony of the fig wasp, responsible for fertilizing the Smyrna fig, and for his association with the Society of Friends (Quakers). History Robson was born in Liscard, Liscard Vale, Cheshire, a son of Henry Ellithorp (or Ellythorp) Robson, later of Ambleside, in Cumbria. After leaving school he was employed in a Liverpool cotton broking business and in 1867 visited Adelaide, where he met Henrietta Watson, daughter of Henry Watson, a chemist of Kermode Street, North Adelaide. They married at the Friends' meeting house, Liscard, on 1 March 1871, and left for Adelaide the same year, arriving by the barque ''Corrientes'' in August 1871.. Thomas Robson (1907 – 10 April 1942) was an English professional Association football, footballer who played in the The Football League, Football League for Northampton Town F.C., Northampton Town, Everton F.C., Everton and Sheffield Wednesday F.C., Sheffield Wednesday as a wing half. He was described as "a grand type of sportsman and so far as football went, had to depend solely on his skill and ability, for he had neither height nor weight to help him out". Personal life As of the outbreak of the Second World War, Robson lived close to Goodison Park with his wife and two children. He served as an ARP warden during the early phase of the war, before enlisting as a leading aircraftman in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. The Very Reverend, The Very Revd Thomas Claude Robson (died 1934) was the first Anglican Dean of Kimberley, and Rector of St Cyprian's Cathedral, Kimberley, South Africa.
