Thomas Kerr Of Ferniehirst
Thomas Kerr of Ferniehirst (died 1585) was a Scottish landowner, Roman Catholic and supporter of Mary, Queen of Scots. He and Jean Scott ended the feud between the Scott family and the Kerrs. Thomas and Jean were both involved with supporting Mary, Queen of Scots. Life He was the son of Sir John Kerr of Ferniehirst and Katherine Kerr. His sister Margaret married Lord Hay of Yester and was the mother of William Hay, 6th Lord Hay of Yester. His homes were Oxnam and Ferniehirst Castle. In 1565 an agreement was made to end the vendetta between the Kerr family and the Scotts. It was agreed that there would be a number of marriages between the family members to end the feud. Everyone agreed to it, but not Thomas Kerr. Despite the families intentions none of the marriages took place, but this was an important basis for Thomas's second marriage. Thomas Kerr (born August 30, 1962, in Calgary, Alberta) is a Canadian illustrator. Educated at the Alberta College of Art and Design and the School of Visual Arts. He is an editorial illustrator featured in the New York Times from 1989 to the present day. Kerr's work has been featured on the OpEd pages of many national publications, focusing on current affairs and political satire. He has received awards of excellence from The Society of Publication Design, Society for News Design, Communication Arts Magazine and is a member of the Society of Illustrators. Thomas Robert Kerr (born July 25, 1950, in Covington, Kentucky) is an American politician and a Republican who served in the Kentucky House of Representatives representing District 64 from 1985 to 2016. He did not run for reelection in 2016 and resigned from the house in September of that year in order to join the administration of governor Matt Bevin. Thomas Caldwell Kerr (15 August 1887 – 25 June 1956) was a member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly. Biography Kerr was born at Stanthorpe, Queensland, the son of John Kerr and his wife Mary (née Caldwell). He was educated at Sherwood State School and from 1905 to 1915 was a pearl sheller in the Dutch East Indies and Thursday Island. Thomas Henry Kerr (18 June 1924 – 9 September 2004) was a British aerospace engineer. He served as a Royal Air Force pilot during World War II. He later served as the Director of the Royal Aircraft Establishment and Director of Research and Development at Royal Ordnance. He was President of the Royal Aeronautical Society from 1985 to 1986.
