Thomas "Tom" Goodman (born 24 September 1990) is an Australian para-triathlete. He competed at the 2024 Paris Paralympics. Personal Goodman was born on 24 September 1990. His partner Rachael is expecting their first child a fortnight before he races on 1 September 2024. The couple's wedding is planned for October 2024. His sister is Olympic rower Molly Goodman. With his sister, they will create Australian sporting history as the first Australian siblings to qualify for the Olympics and Paralympic Games. Molly Goodman (born 19 February 1993) is an Australian rower. She is a national champion, a three-time Olympian and a world champion winning the 2017 world title in a coxless four. She stroked the Australian eight to victory in the Remenham Challenge Cup at the 2018 Henley Royal Regatta. She stroked the Australian women's eight at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Club and state rowing Raised in Adelaide, Goodman rows from the Adelaide Rowing Club. Goodman was first selected to represent South Australia in the women's youth eight in 2011 contesting the Bicentennial Cup at the Interstate Regatta within the Australian Rowing Championships. Paratriathlon
Para triathlon is a variant of the triathlon for athletes with a physical disability. The sport is governed by World Triathlon (TRI; formerly known as the International Triathlon Union or ITU), and was first held as a Paralympic event at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. At events sanctioned by World Triathlon, athletes compete over a para triathlon sprint distance event with a 750m swim, 20km cycle using handcycles, bicycles or tandem bicycles with a guide and a 5km wheelchair or running race. The Australia men's national cerebral palsy soccer team represents Australia in international CP football, 7-a-side (CP) competitions. Paratriathlon Classification
Paratriathlon classification is the classification system for athletes participating in paratriathlon. It is governed by the World Triathlon (formerly known as ITU). The sport has been included in the 2016 Summer Paralympics. Classification system from 2017 World Triathlon has implemented some modifications to the classification system that was introduced in 2014 after further research was conducted to address certain aspects of the previous system.
