Thomas F. Connolly
Vice admiral (United States), Vice Admiral Thomas Francis Connolly Jr. (October 24, 1909 – May 24, 1996) was a Three-star rank, three-star rank Admiral (United States), admiral in the United States Navy, Naval Aviator Badge, aviator, and gymnastics, gymnast. As a member of the United States men's national artistic gymnastics team, he won an Olympic bronze medal at the 1932 Summer Olympics. Connolly served in the Navy for 38 years. Over his career he served in World War II, oversaw the development of a program that later evolved into the United States Naval Test Pilot School, commanded two aircraft carriers, and served as Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Air Warfare, retiring from that post in 1971. Thomas Hinman Moorer
Thomas Hinman Moorer (February 9, 1912 – February 5, 2004) was an admiral and naval aviator in the United States Navy who served as the 18th chief of Naval Operations from 1967 to 1970 and 7th chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff from 1970 to 1974. He famously accused President Lyndon B. Johnson of having covered up that the 1967 attack on the USS ''Liberty'' by Israel was a deliberate act. Moorer was also implicated in a spy ring within the White House during the Nixon administration, but was never prosecuted.
