Thomas Cousins (born 3 March 1981) is a British former judoka, who won a silver medal at the 2002 Commonwealth Games. Judo career At the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester, Cousins won the silver medal in the under 81kg category, in the gold medal match he was defeated by Scotland's Graeme Randall. Peter Cousins
Peter Tendai Cousins (born 3 March 1981 in Harlow) is a British judoka, who competed at the Olympic Games. Judo career Cousins came to prominence after becoming champion of Great Britain, winning the middleweight division at the British Judo Championships in 1999. He then followed this up by winning three consecutive British titles in 2001, 2002 and 2003. Two years later in 2005, he won a fifth British title before securing a bronze medal at the 2006 European Judo Championships, in Tampere. One year later in 2007, he won a silver medal at the 2007 World Judo Championships in Rio de Janeiro. He lost the gold medal match against the home judoka Luciano Corrêa. The performance inevitably resulted in selection for Great Britain at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. He competed in the half-heavyweight category and was eliminated in the first round. Graeme Randall, MBE (born 14 March 1975) is a Scottish judoka. He competed at the 1996 Summer Olympics and the 2000 Summer Olympics, and won gold medals in the 81 kg division at both the 1999 World Judo Championships and 2002 Commonwealth Games. Biography Randall was educated at Lasswade High School, Midlothian, and the University of Edinburgh, where he completed a degree in Physical Education. In 1996, he was selected for Great Britain to compete at the Olympic Games in Atlanta, Georgia. Competing in the -78kg division, he lost his first round match and failed to progress any further. The following year in 1997, he finished fifth at the 1997 World Judo Championships.
