Thomas Henry Bailey (1888 – after 1914) was an English association football, footballer who played for Lincoln City F.C., Lincoln City and Stoke City F.C., Stoke. Career Bailey was born in Burton upon Trent and played for Overseal Swifts and Burton United F.C., Burton United before joining Lincoln City F.C., Lincoln City in 1907. He played once for Lincoln before playing for Walsall F.C., Walsall and Stoke Priory and signed for Stoke City F.C., Stoke in 1912. He played 36 times for Stoke in three seasons scoring once against Caerphilly F.C., Caerphilly. He was, from August 1925 to May 1938, manager of Crewe Alexandra F.C., Crewe Alexandra. Thomas Alexander Bailey (born 18 January 1956) is an English singer, songwriter, musician, composer and record producer. Bailey came to prominence in the early 1980s as the lead vocalist for the new wave band Thompson Twins, which released five singles that entered the top ten charts in the United Kingdom during the 1980s: " Love On Your Side", " We Are Detective", " Hold Me Now", " Doctor! Doctor!", and " You Take Me Up". He was the only member of the band to have formal musical training. From 1994, Bailey was also a member of its later incarnation, Babble, releasing two commercially unsuccessful studio albums. He released his debut solo studio album ''Science Fiction'' in 2018. Thomas Bailey or Bayly (died c. 1657) was a seventeenth-century English religious controversialist, a Royalist Church of England clergyman who converted to Catholicism. Biography Bailey's father was Lewis Bayly, Bishop of Bangor, and a brother was the scholar and clergyman John Bayly (1595/6–1633). Bailey was educated at Magdalene College, Cambridge. He began as a priest within his father's diocese; in 1634 he became Rector of Holgate, Shropshire, and in 1638 the sub-dean of Wells. He served as a commissioned officer in defence of Raglan Castle in 1646, and was briefly imprisoned in Newgate gaol for writing against the Commonwealth after Charles I was executed in 1649. In that year he also defended Charles against allegations that he had been a Catholic. In ''Certamen Religiosum'' he reported on religious discussions from 1646 between Charles and Henry Somerset, 1st Marquess of Worcester, at Raglan Castle.
