Thomas Askebrand
Thomas Askebrand, born ''Johansson'' 23 January 1969 in Åsa, is a Swedish football manager. He is the manager of Västerås SK. Management career Thomas started out his managing career for small local clubs in Hanhals, Bua and Lerkil. After one year in the Gothenburg club Västra Frölunda, as an assistant coach, he joined Superettan side Falkenberg. After five good seasons, Thomas left for the bigger club GAIS in January 2013. After a defeat against Östersund at home in the 9th game of the 2014-season, Gais officially sacked Askebrand due to bad results. The supporters and the board didn't think 8 points and a 13th place was good enough. On December 10, 2014, Östers IF announced Thomas Askebrand as their new head coach for two years. Östers played in Allsvenskan in 2013 but got relegated from both Allsvenskan and later Superettan the following year. Allsvenskan (; en, the All-Swedish, also known as Fotbollsallsvenskan, en, the Football All-Swedish) is a Swedish professional league for men's association football clubs. It was founded in 1924 and is the top tier of the Swedish football league system, operating on a system of promotion and relegation with Superettan. The 2013 Allsvenskan, part of the 2013 Swedish football season, was the 89th season of Allsvenskan since its establishment in 1924. The 2013 fixtures were released on 14 December 2012. Östersunds Fotbollsklubb, commonly known simply as Östersunds FK, Östersund () or (especially locally) ÖFK, is a Swedish professional football club located in Östersund, Sweden and since 2022 play in the Swedish second tier, Superettan. The club was formed in 1996 as a merger of several Östersund clubs. The club is affiliated with the Jämtland-Härjedalens Fotbollförbund and play their home games at Jämtkraft Arena. The club colours, reflected in their crest and kit, are red and black, predominantly in stripes and with red shorts and socks.
