It was made available for digital download on 2 May 2010, and received a physical release the next day. The "Starkey remix" version of the song was used in ''Pro Evolution Soccer 2012''. The song is built around vocal samples, and the meaning behind the song is unclear. The song peaked at number 97 on the UK Singles Chart. Foals (stylised in all caps) are a British Rock music, rock band formed in Oxford in 2005. The band's current line-up consists of Greek-born lead vocalist and guitarist Yannis Philippakis, drummer and percussionist Jack Bevan, guitarist and keyboardist Jimmy Smith and bassist Walter Gervers. Total Life Forever
''Total Life Forever'' is the second studio album by British indie rock band Foals, released on 10 May 2010 through Transgressive Records. Prior to the album's release, the band described it as sounding "like the dream of an eagle dying". It was produced by Luke Smith, and was recorded at Svenska Grammofon Studion in Gothenburg. Upon its release, the album charted in numerous countries worldwide, including number eight in the UK Albums Chart. Promotion and release In January 2009, the band released three semi-instrumental segments of tracks through the band's MySpace profile, giving an insight into the band's recording process. A short three date tour of the United Kingdom took place in April 2009. Transgressive Records
Transgressive Records is an independent record label based in London, founded in 2004. Its founders, Tim Dellow and Toby L, first met at a Bloc Party gig organised by Toby's Rockfeedback website. The label's debut release was "1am" by the Subways in September 2004, quickly followed by singles from Mystery Jets, the Young Knives and Regina Spektor. Artists on its current roster include Flume, Sophie, Arlo Parks, Alvvays, Julia Jacklin and Damon Albarn. Yannis Barnabas Emanuel Philippakis (Greek: Ιωάννης "Γιάννης" Φιλιππάκης) (born 23 April 1986) is a Greek-born British singer, songwriter and guitarist. Spanish Sahara (song)
"Spanish Sahara" is a song by British indie rock band Foals (band), Foals. Although not an official single, it was the first song to be released from the band's second album, ''Total Life Forever''. It was premiered on 1 March 2010, on BBC Radio 1. Later that night, a music video for the single was put up on the Foals' website. On 6 March, when the ''Total Life Forever'' site went up, Foals premiered instrument samplings of the tracks that would be on ''Total Life Forever'' in the track listing order. The fifth sample was a synthesizer sample of "Spanish Sahara". The single was released on 17 April only as a 7", to celebrate Record Store Day. Only 1000 copies were printed and sold through independent record stores. The remix of the song by Mount Kimbie was later available as a free MP3 given to members of the Foals website.
