''This Magnificent Distance'' is Chris Robinson's second solo album, released on June 29, 2004. The album draws on a vast panorama of Americana music—rock, blues, folk, country, soul and elements of jazz. Reception The album generated some praise from a variety of outlets. Chris Robinson (singer)
Christopher Mark Robinson (born December 20, 1966) is an American musician. He founded the rock band The Black Crowes (then known as Mr. Crowe's Garden) with his brother Rich Robinson in 1984. Chris is the lead singer of The Black Crowes, and he and his brother are the only continuous members of the Crowes. He is the vocalist and rhythm guitarist for the Chris Robinson Brotherhood, which was formed in 2011 while the Black Crowes were on hiatus. Robinson is noted for his high tenor vocal range and bluesy vocal runs. Early years Robinson was born in Marietta, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta. He is the son of Nancy Jane (née Bradley) and Stanley "Stan" Robinson, who had a minor Billboard charted record in 1959 called "Boom-A-Dip-Dip" and who died in September 2013. Southern rock is a subgenre of rock music and a genre of Americana. Paul Stacey
Paul Stacey (born 27 September 1963) is a British guitarist and producer, best known for his work with Oasis, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds and the Black Crowes. Biography Stacey's early work included the 1990s band, the Lemon Trees (with twin brother Jeremy Stacey on drums, Guy Chambers and others) and Denzil. On 29 September 2006, Stacey was named as the replacement for Marc Ford in the Black Crowes, only a day after Ford faxed the band his resignation and two days before the band's fall tour was set to begin. Previous to this announcement Stacey had worked with The Black Crowes by remastering the band's album '' The Lost Crowes''. ''New Earth Mud'' is the solo debut studio album of Chris Robinson. It was released October 22, 2002 on Redline Records. Initial pressings came with a bonus DVD, which included a documentary on the making of the album and several acoustic live performances. The album was Robinson's first solo effort after a dozen years recording and touring with the band he formed with his brother Rich Robinson during the 1980s, the Black Crowes, which had gone on hiatus after the completion of its 2001 tour in support of the album Lions. Audley Freed
Audley Freed is a guitarist from Burgaw, North Carolina. Early life, family and education Freed's father was in the US Army, so the family relocated often during his early years. Eventually the family settled in Burgaw, North Carolina in the 1970s. He took guitar lessons in Wilmington, North Carolina, for a couple years. He graduated from University of North Carolina, Wilmington, with a history degree. Career Freed started his professional music career on the Southeastern club and fraternity circuit. He then formed the band Cry of Love, which was signed to Columbia Records and released the debut album ''Brother''. Ethan Thomas Robert Johns (born 1969 in Merton, London, England) is an English record producer, engineer, mixer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist.
