Third Position Party
The Third Position Party (; P3P) is a minor Peronist political party in Argentina. It was founded in 2015 by congresswoman Graciela Camaño and union leader as a split from the Justicialist Party. It supported Sergio Massa's unsuccessful presidential bid in 2015, and it is currently part of the Federal Consensus coalition. As Camaño is a sitting member of the Argentine Chamber of Deputies, the party has representation at the federal level. The party's electoral debut was in 2013, when Barrionuevo ran for Congress in his native Catamarca in coalition with the Renewal Front; Barrionuevo was not elected. Since then, only Camaño has achieved electoral wins at the federal level, securing a seat in Buenos Aires Province in 2015 and 2019. Graciela Camaño
Graciela Camaño (born 25 April 1953) is an Argentine lawyer and politician who served as a Argentine Chamber of Deputies, National Deputy for Buenos Aires Province for 28 years, from 1989 to 1993, later 1997 to 2002, and most recently from 2003 to 2023. Camaño also served as Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security (Argentina), Minister of Labour during the presidency of Eduardo Duhalde between May 2002 and May 2003. A longtime member of the Justicialist Party, in 2015 she founded the Third Position Party with her husband and political ally, Luis Barrionuevo (politician), Luis Barrionuevo. Renewal Front
The Frente Renovador (FR) is an Argentine Peronist political party. The party is a member of the centre-left political coalition Union for the Homeland. In 2019 the party was legally recognized after obtaining definitive legal status in the electoral districts of Buenos Aires Province, Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, Santa Cruz, Tucumán, Santiago del Estero, Santa Fe, La Pampa and Chubut. Alberto Fernández
Alberto Ángel Fernández (; born 2 April 1959) is an Argentine politician, lawyer, and academic who served as President of Argentina from 2019 to 2023. He was also the Chief of the Cabinet of Ministers from 2003 to 2008. His tenure as Cabinet Chief remains the longest since the post was created in 1994. 2017 Argentine General Election
Legislative elections were held in Argentina on 22 October 2017 to elect half of the Chamber of Deputies and one third of the Senate. The result was a victory for the ruling Cambiemos alliance, being the most voted force in 13 of the 24 districts. Background The elections took place during the presidency of Mauricio Macri whose ''Cambiemos'' coalition also governed the City of Buenos Aires and Buenos Aires Province. As Cambiemos was a new coalition with few noteworthy political figures, several members of the cabinet were asked to resign from their positions and run for Congress in their respective districts instead. Cambiemos
(JxC, ) was a political coalition in Argentina. A liberal coalition, it was created in 2015 as Cambiemos (), and renamed in 2019. It was composed of Republican Proposal, Radical Civic Union, Civic Coalition ARI and United Republicans. These three parties respectively nominated Mauricio Macri, Ernesto Sanz, and Elisa Carrió as their representatives in the August 2015 primary elections, which were held to choose which candidate would run in the 2015 presidential election on 25 October. Front For Victory
The Front for Victory (, FPV) was a centre-left Peronist electoral alliance in Argentina, and is formally a faction of the Justicialist Party. Former presidents Néstor Kirchner and Cristina Fernández de Kirchner were elected as representatives of this party. The Front for Victory is ideologically identified with what has been called Kirchnerism. Legally, the Front should not be confused with the Victory Party, which is just one of the political parties in it.
