The Cabinet of Bangladesh () is the chief executive body in the People's Republic of Bangladesh. The cabinet is the collective decision-making body of the entire government normally under the Office of the Prime Minister, composed of the prime minister and other cabinet ministers. During a caretaker government or interim government, the cabinet is instead composed of the chief adviser and other cabinet advisers. These "advisorial" positions are equivalent to their respective ministerial positions. Abdur Rab Serniabat
Abdur Rob Serniabat (4 April 1921-1975) was a Bangladeshi politician and the former water resources minister. He was the brother-in-law of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, founding father of Bangladesh, and the maternal uncle of Sheikh Hasina, the five-time prime minister of Bangladesh. He was killed during the assassination of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on 15 August 1975. Early life Serniabat was born on 4 April 1921 to the Bengali Muslim Serniabat family of Seral, Agailjhara in the Backergunge District of the Bengal Presidency. The family were direct descendants of Emperor Sher Shah Suri. He passed his matriculation from Chadshi High School in Gauranadi or Bhola High School, Intermediate of Arts from Brojomohun College, Bachelor of Arts from Calcutta Islamia College, and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Dacca. Kamal Hossain
Kamal Hossain (born 20 April 1937), better known as Dr. Kamal, is a founding leader, lawyer and politician of Bangladesh. He is known as the "Father of the Bangladeshi Constitution" and regarded as an icon of secular democracy in the Indian subcontinent. Hossain currently heads his own law firm in Dhaka. He retired from political activities and from the post of president of Gano Forum in October 2023. Hossain studied in the United States at the University of Notre Dame and in the United Kingdom at the University of Oxford. He was called to the bar of England and Wales in Lincoln's Inn in 1959. Hossain enrolled as an advocate in the Dhaka High Court, High Court of East Pakistan.
