Third Force (Georgia)
Third Force ( ka, მესამე ძალა, tr) was a political alliance in Georgia formed around Strategy Aghmashenebeli in opposition to the ruling Georgian Dream party. The alliance was formed in 2021 participating in the local elections held the same year with its electoral number being 1. Third Force consisted of three parties: Strategy Aghmashenebeli, Free Democrats and the Republican Party of Georgia, however, they were also joined by other prominent opposition figured such as Grigol Vashadze, former chairman of United National Movement and a runner-up in the 2018 presidential election. The alliance ran in the 2021 local elections receiving 1.34% of the vote. Tamar Kekenadze, the chairwoman of Free Democrats, was nominated as the coalition's candidate for the 2021 Tbilisi mayoral election receiving 0.59% of the vote and finishing in the 9th place. Giorgi Vashadze ( ka, გიორგი ვაშაძე; born 8 July 1981) is a Georgia (country), Georgian politician and international policy expert who served as a member of the Parliament of Georgia from 2012 to 2016 and from 2020 up to the present. 2018 Georgian Presidential Election
Presidential elections were held in Georgia on 28 October 2018. As no candidate received more than 50% of the vote in the first round, a runoff between Salome Zourabichvili and Grigol Vashadze was held on 28 November 2018. Salome Zourabichvili won with around 60% of the vote in the second round and took office on 16 December 2018. Following amendments to the constitution in 2017, the 2018 elections were the last direct presidential vote; subsequential presidential elections were carried out by a 300-member College of Electors. United National Movement – United Opposition "Strength is in Unity" Faction was a politician coalition and a parliamentary faction in Georgia. It was led by United National Movement, the largest party within the bloc, and additionally included Progress and Freedom and Victorious Georgia parties. It was one of the two factions in the 10th Parliament of Georgia, serving in the opposition to the Georgian Dream government. 2020 Georgian Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Georgia (country), Georgia on 31 October and 21 November 2020 to elect the 150 members of Parliament of Georgia, Parliament. United National Movement
United National Movement (UNM; ka, ერთიანი ნაციონალური მოძრაობა, tr) also colloquially known as the Natsebi is a liberal conservative political party in Georgia. Tina Bokuchava serves as the party's chairman, while its honorary chairman Mikheil Saakashvili is considered the de facto leader. UNM's electoral number is 5. UNM was founded by Mikheil Saakashvili in 2001, in opposition to Eduard Shevardnadze's government, rising to power following the Rose Revolution in 2003.
